My 9 year old daughter loves these books. Adults may find the plot boring and repititious but after all there meant for children. My daughter had problems with her understanding of what she was reading but after I bought these books for her her understanding of what she was reading wad very good. These books interest her so why not give them a try, buy one to start and see if it holds your childs interest
