I’ve got all the HP colouring books and enjoy choosing which picture I will colour next. They are great stress relievers and as they are good quality paper you can choose between gel pens felt tips or pencil crayon. I use a combination as I like skin tones in pencil and gel pens for areas I want to stand out. People have commented that as they are double sided you loose a picture if you want to display on the wall. This is true but as a collector I like to keep my books intact. Anyway if you fancy getting into adult colouring and you are a Harry Potter fan then you need to order at least one of these….bet you order more!

My daughter loves this colouring book, we bought it for her Birthday!
It’s a bit intricate in places & definetely aimed at older children or adults for colouring!
She’s had a go at a few pages now and is enjoying it.
If you’ve a 10 year old + fan of Harry Potter, this is a fab gift to get them. Well worth the price paid.

This is the third colouring I’ve purchased from Amazon as part from the Harry Potter series! For the price and quality you can not moan! WH Smith charge full price for these and I’ve never paid more than £4.99 for them!
The paper is of good quality but I would advise anyone to use colouring pencils and not felt tips to stop / prevent any bleeding through the papers! The images are good and will take you a few hours to complete, a godsend when you having a bad PTSD flare – I find myself being able to zone out of a dark panic stricken state whilst colouring in!

Exceeds expectations, speedy delivery. Beautiful pictures of the harry potters sets and characters, as well as photo images at the back of the book of the colouring pages to help with colour selection for each page. The detail of the line work brings the Harry Potter world to life when flicking through the pages and creates an immersive colouring experience. Thank you.

I brought this book at full price for my personal collection. I colour purely as a hobby, one that I put an incredible amount of time and effort in to.
Harry Potter Magical Places and Characters is the 3rd in the Harry Potter colouring series. At the time of posting there are currently 4 titles available. Harry Potter Colouring Book 1, Harry Potter Magical Creatures, Harry Potter Magical Places and Characters, and Harry Potter Magical Artifacts. It follows the same size as the previous books which is approximately A4 sized, 28cm x 22cm. Inside this book there are 55 illustrations, 34 single page illustrations and 21 double page spreads. The single page illustrations are made up of the following: 10 portrait type illustrations (main character surrounded by a border), 10 scenes from the movie (two examples contained within the book would be an illustration of Hogsmeade in the snow and of a bookshop in Diagon Alley filled with towers upon towers of books), 4 illustrations of a repeating/wallpaper nature and 10 illustrations of miscellaneous objects (a few examples of this would be the Weasley’s family clock, a stained glass mermaid illustration and the Hogwarts Express.)
The double page spreads are made up of the following: 18 scenes from the movie (examples of those included in the book: Aunt Marge gets inflated, illustration of the outside of the Quidditch Supplies shop and the inside of Weasley Wizard Wheezes) and 3 illustrations of a repeating/wallpaper nature.
All the illustrations are printed double sided, alcohol markers bleed through on to the following page. If you are extremely careful and light handed with water based markers they don’t stain. However as soon as you place a second layer of colour down you will see shadowing on the next page. I had no problems with gel pens and i used them substantially in a few illustrations. The paper itself is non perforated, on the higher end of medium quality with a slightly textured surface. I used a mix of Marco Raffines and Polychromos for most of the illustrations I’ve completed and found that they layer and blend extremely well.
There are a few pre printed black elements within the book however it’s a fairly small amount.
Around half the illustrations go in to the spine, a few illustrations have borders and some are in general smaller but sit extremely close to the spine. I found the spine loosens well after working it but not enough to colour comfortably on top of it.
Personally this is one of my favourite books, the scenes are extremely detailed and take a great deal of concentration to get perfect. I own around 50 adult colouring books and this one is one that challenges me the most. Colouring 100’s of tiny details in each scene for me, is a completely immersive experience.(There are also simpler illustrations within the book.)

The pictures in this colouring book are really good, they are well drawn some of the pictures are a bit boring but the majority capture your imagination. My only complaint is that the spine is quite weak and as some of the pictures are over two pages it is difficult to colour the picture completely. I have noted that some people complained about the quality of the paper, I didn’t find this an use! I use both pencils and gel pens they both worked just as well and the pens did not go through the page. The nice thing is that you can chose to colour the picture as you please our you can use the pages at the back of the book for inspiration. A must for every Harry Potter fans
