Pregnancy is an ultimate time to turn to Allah. Not only is it a physical process, it is also a spiritual and emotional journey filled with excitement and apprehension. Heaven Under Your Feet accompanies sisters along this beautiful phase in life. Whilst there is lots of advice-packed literature out there for the expectant mother, this book broaches the subject from the perspective of a Muslimah, addressing the thoughts and concerns of someone looking for an Islamic viewpoint on what is a unique and special moment in her life.

There are next to none Islamic pregnancy books out there, so i was so happy when I found this. But so disappointed in the content. You want a book that tells you how in pregnancy a womans sins are forgiven, how to pray and ensure you can birth and labour in line with islam. At points this book starts talking generally about islam, some section are unnecessarily lengthy and give you no new information about pregnancy in islam. The only good thing I can say is in the book there are a few duas but you can easily find them anywhere without reading this book cover yo cover.

This was a really good book to read while I was expecting my first it taught me a lot and reminded me of the patience I needed throughout the pregnancy and the rewards of it. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who is expecting and it is a book you can read again.

I had this book during every pregnancy. All support, advice and details needed are there. When I read first time I wondered why pregnancy/becoming a mum so important and responsible transformation. To be honest I realise now that until someone becomes a mother it’s difficult to understand importance and huge responsibility it entails. I would recommend to every expecting muslimah to have it around. Even to take to hospital. May Allah reward sister Umm Hasan Bunt Salim…

I bought this with the intention that I would soon be a mother and hopefully have a better understanding of pregnancy from an Islamic perspective. It is a book I have bought to read when I receive the blessed news.
I have not yet received any news to state that I have been blessed, but I will be sure to read it at some point!
However, what I have browsed through, it covers all aspects that need to be covered during pregnancy. There are three main chapters – about you, your child and the baby’s arrival. There are also lovely supplications for you and your child. The author has written this book to give an Islamic perspective of pregnancy and she has done a good job of it.

As a first time mum I found this book so incredibly helpful and reassuring. At times I got quite tearful when reading it due to being in total awe of Allah’s love for us. I would buy this for any Muslim-mum-to-be.

I definitely highly recommend this book to anyone thinking About pregnancy, is pregnant or knows anyone pregnant and wants to gift them something beautiful to help them along their journey. I read this book during my own pregnancy and it was a great read. So helpful and soothing, gave a beautiful insight into pregnancy and motherhood from an Islamic perspective but also giving a gentle advice. I have given mine out several times but wanted to gift this to someone far from me as I think the duas in their can be so beneficial, especially in labour. I really recommend this book to any woman as it’s so empowering – it reminds you of the status of a woman in Islam, your strength, the role and importance of a mother and how you can start to shape your child’s life even before it’s born. Give it a read …
