As a big fan of historical MG, this book did not disappoint!!! Fast-paced, with wonderful characters and an incredibly well-drawn setting this is a book I know will strike a cord with many young readers and it’s one I wish I’d gotten to read when I was young. Am hoping there is more to come form this author.

A great adventure, this is a read which is enormous fun, one that I very much enjoyed and one that I am hoping will be the start of a brilliant new series – it certainly deserves to be. Perfect for those in upper KS2 or KS3, if you have not as yet read it, please do so – you won’t regret it!
