I have no idea how this ‘book’ got so many great reviews. And I use the word ‘book’ very loosely! This is more like a thick pamphlet that you could read in less than an hour, containing very basic information. Yes, it’s for beginners, but I was expecting more, even from a beginner’s book.

Certainly a good start in Hindus ,if one need to know Himduism,I find this book rather simple and brief and clear for beginners.I enjoyed and wish I can find a similar Hinduism book in much more details simply explained to make it easy to read and understand like this one.Thank you.

It is just a “beginners book” which is fine. However, even beginners books should include a bit more detail than this has.
I am an RE teacher so obviously I’m going to know a lot about what is in this book BUT if you are interested in Hinduism, a lot of what is in this book can be found online with very little effort. For example, Hindu gods don’t have nearly as much detail as they need to.

What a wonderful introduction to Hinduism, i thoroughly enjoyed reading this guide. Hinduism explained in such a simple way and really makes you think about the way you live your life. I have never been to India but i’m sure one day i will. Thank you Shalu Sharma x

Great for a new person to the Hindu faith and belief.
Also saying about the importance of ritual, even the colours. E.g. the colours worn at funerals is white.
