Hokusai: The Great Wave (Foiled Journal): 09 (Flame Tree Notebooks, 09)

Part of a series of exciting and luxurious Flame Tree Notebooks. Combining high-quality production with magnificent fine art, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, then foil stamped. And they’re powerfully practical: a pocket at the back for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks and a solid magnetic side flap. These are perfect for personal use and make a dazzling gift. This example features Hokusai’s famous and well-loved The Great Wave.
The most notable period in Hokusai’s artistic life was the latter part of his career, beginning in 1830 when he was 70 years old. He began the series of landscapes he is most famous for: ‘Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji’, which included The Great Wave, off Kanagawa, probably his most iconic image.

Beautiful quality and arrived just as described

Lovely notebook with a metallicy cover that the photo doesnt do justice. Nicer in real life. Lovely red lining and a wee pocket in the back cover for storing a few slips of paper, and a space in the front cover for your name and phone number. Would be a great gift for someone.

Good paper inside. Nice snappy magnetic close. Love the design anyway but nice raised bits…
