Holiday Romance: A totally hilarious and unforgettable Christmas romantic comedy (Catherine Walsh Christmas romcoms)
£1.90
“This is officially my favorite holiday romance. I loved every single minute of it, and wished it never had to end… The epitome of the Christmas Romance… I cannot recommend this book enough.” Marensreads ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
She’s meant to be catching flights, not catching feelings…
Molly and Andrew are just trying to get home to Ireland for the holidays, when a freak snowstorm grounds their flight.
Nothing romantic has ever happened between them: they’re friends and that’s all. But once a year, for the last ten years, Molly has spent seven hours and fifteen minutes sitting next to Andrew on the last flight before Christmas from Chicago to Dublin, drinking terrible airplane wine and catching up on each other’s lives. In spite of all the ways the two friends are different, it’s the holiday tradition neither of them has ever wanted to give up.
Molly isn’t that bothered by Christmas, but—in yet another way they’re total opposites—Andrew is a full-on fanatic for the festive season and she knows how much getting back to Ireland means to him. So, instead of doing the sane thing and just celebrating the holidays together in America, she does the stupid thing. The irrational thing. She vows to get him home. And in time for his mam’s famous Christmas dinner.
The clock is ticking. But Molly always has a plan. And—as long as the highly-specific combination of taxis, planes, boats, and trains all run on time—it can’t possibly go wrong.
What she doesn’t know is that, as the snow falls over the city and over the heads of two friends who are sure they’re not meant to be together, the universe might just have a plan of its own…
A totally gorgeous and escapist friends-to-lovers festive romance with a swoon-worthy hero. Perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Mhairi McFarlane, and Christina Lauren.

I saw this book recommended by the Irish bookstagrammers that I follow. I don’t read much romance or read according to seasons so I thought it would be good to read a festive romance for a change. And am I glad I did. I really loved this book, the characters were super likeable, it wasn’t overly cheesy and had the right level of romance for me. Molly and Andrew have a ten year history of meeting on a flight home to Ireland from Chicago each Christmas. Molly hasn’t ever really considered Andrew as a potential love interest but when they get stranded due to bad weather on the tenth anniversary of their tradition and Molly pulls out all the stops to try get them home, could love blossom? Well find out and give it a read! I highly recommend and I want a movie from it like The Holiday. Where’s Reece Whitherspoon when you need her.

Molly and Andrew have been friends for ten years. They share the flight home to Ireland every Christmas and these trips are relatively uneventful. Until this particular year, when a storm rages over the Atlantic and they are forced to embark on an epic trip in an effort to get home in time for the mammy’s Christmas dinner. It leads to adventures that they never would have expected…..
???? This is the first time that I’ve finished the @tiredmammybookclub choice on time! I’m usually weeks behind ????????
???? I never would have picked this one for myself, I tend to go for thrillers or true crime. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. @catwalshwriter reeled me right in, and I finished this book in two days. Definite echoes of @sophiekinsellawriter throughout.
A fantastically festive romance full of humour and wit. Definitely one to enjoy beside the Christmas tree with a cuppa!

There’s something very special about Christmas time: how you get to see people you haven’t in months or even years, how the time seems to melt away once you get chatting again and how the magic of the holidays adds a certain something to the rekindling of friend- and relationships. It’s a wonderful time for most, especially those who live away and come home to celebrate with those they love.
And thus we meet Molly and Andrew – Irish expats who live in Chicago but have been getting the same flight home to Ireland at Christmas for the last ten years, developing a unique friend(ish)ship in the process.
This year their flight is grounded by a freak snowstorm, and over the course of the following days they start to figure out just how to navigate outside of the boundaries of their normally once-a-year meeting.
Molly is sweet, clever but guarded, not wanting to let herself open up too much and, while glad to get home to her family, has zero interest in the sentiment of Christmas.
Andrew is witty, pithy and absolutely here for the Christmas glitz, magic and any other holiday trapping he can think of. He is the perfect antidote to Molly’s steadfastness in relation to the Holiday spirit (or lack thereof).
They work so well together, but also understandably clash, making this story of them forced to spend time together even more adorable, and as they get to know each other you can’t help but fall for them.
A sweet, fun, sexy Christmas Rom-com.

10 years.
10 flights together.
Molly and Andrew have caught the Chicago to Dublin flight home at Christmas together, and are great friends, and totally not meant to be together ????when a storm threatens to ruin the holidays, will mother nature finally intervene?!
I loved this rom-com! It got me in the Christmas spirit without being overly sappy! Don’t get me wrong, it had some emotional kickers, and definitely gave the feels, but it wasn’t too cheesy!
Andrew and Molly had great chemistry and banter! They were well rounded characters with flaws and serious real life issues. I loved them both! I adored all of the characters actually, and can imagine reading spin offs, or a series about several of them including Zoe, Christian and Hannah!
I enjoyed the flashbacks every year to their flight, starting from their first flight, and becoming more recent each time. I also loved the part in Ireland, where we got to meet both families.
There was a slight door ajar in the bedroom, but it was mostly closed, which I know a lot of people prefer. I, as you know am not one of those people, so would have rated this 5 stars if there was a little more steam, but I didn’t mind as much as usual, since I was so invested in the story!
So, if you want to stay up late binge reading like I did, and need a little Irish Christmas cheer, give this one a go!
