Homerun Proposal: A Brother’s Best Friend Baseball Romance (Orleans University Book 1)
£3.80
The proposal was simple: Score a homerun and take my virginity.
Except, my proposal went to the wrong brother.
It was supposed to go to my best friend, but as fate would have it, it fell into the hands of his infuriatingly hot, irritatingly charming older brother.
Lane Collins is Orleans University’s All-Star baseball captain.
Cocky pitcher. Player on and off the field. The life of every party.
And the same guy I’ve crushed on in secret since we were kids.
He’s always been out of my league.
That is until he signs the dotted line on a proposal that wasn’t meant for him, and offers to teach me… everything.
The one and only condition?
We walk away once everything’s checked off.
Easier said than done when my heart is involved.
Now, it’s a whole new ballgame.

This book has left me swooning over Lane and Hallie. This was the first baseball romance that I’ve read, and I’m definitely a fan.
I love that Hallie doesn’t fit the usual stereotypes and is quirky. Her love for UFOs and other unexplained phenomenon was so refreshing. She loves the colour black and is always wearing her trademark red and black vans. She couldn’t be any more different than the usual cleat chasers who surround Lane.
Lane is Hallie’s best friend’s brother and is a baseball superstar at OU. He’s a playboy and has a life full of sport, parties and girls. I wasn’t sure what to make of him at first, but he quickly won me over. This guy is one of my new all time book boyfriends!
Homerun Proposal was absolutely brilliant. Fun to read, deliciously smutty and plenty of chemistry. The romance was top notch and provided all the feels.

This was my first read by this author but having seen it mentioned in several author newsletters, it sounded like something I would like so I gave it a go. I really liked Hallie. She calls herself quirky but I found her good fun and I liked the way her confidence grew as her relationship with Lane developed. Lane made great book boyfriend material too. I liked that he’d had a thing for Hallie for a long time before the proposal, not realising that she also had a crush on him. His character development was also interesting in terms of his realisation about how he felt about playing baseball. The ending was super cheesy but very nineties rom-com, in keeping with the rest of the book.

What a lovely sweet read this was.
I really enjoyed how Hallie and Lane’s relationship started out with the propsal. I rooted for this couple from the get-go. On paper, they were opposites and didn’thave much in common, but they were seriously the cutest couple together.
The side characters added to the story, we had Eli, the younger brother to Lane, and best friend to Hallie and of course the zany Viv were great friends too.
The baseball elements were fun to read.
So go grab this and enjoy!

Hallie has always found him attractive, but knowing his preferences are not anything close to her. It is a little sad, until Lane’s perspective is revealed…! Even Lane’s friends know what Hallie means to him.
Lane…! What a perfectly great book boyfriend. He’s totally wh!pped for her and add in the ‘touch her and d!3’ vibes..!! It was so perfect!!
I loved how they approached the lessons..! Even starting off with Hallie becoming comfortable around him, creating so many beautiful moments. Personally, I loved the baseball teaching moment, very princess diary-esque!!
Even though, Hallie’s first attempt at having her first kiss went badly, her first kiss with Lane was so beautiful! It felt like a true movie moment perfectly captured in a book.
All the moments where Lane tries to get her comfortable with him and his body are so sweet and very tender, until it really heats up and it is very smexy! Holy hell! The sp!ce… it may have been a slow burn to get there, but it was so g0dd@mn hot!
It was truly beautiful to read how much Lane loved Hallie, he truly is her biggest supporter, even when she didn’t realise it.
While the third act drama was heartbreaking, it was definitely worth it as Lane’s big gesture was so epic!! He definitely needs to taken out of the page and into reality! It was perfect!

Maren hits the ball out of the park with Homerun Proposal. Lane and Hallie were absolutely everything. The pair of them were made for eachother and super adorable together.
When Hallie accidentally gives her ‘proposal’ to who she thinks is her bestfriend Eli, you can imagine the shock when in fact it is not Eli that receives it.
I honestly loved everything about Hallie, her character was so refreshing, from the clothes she wears to her interests outside of school. She’s a girl that is on the odd side with her love of bigfoot, aliens and conspiracy theories and for that alone, it made her stand out and shine among other FMC’s.
Lane was straight up dirty, he had a dirty mouth and all the scenes between him and Hallie were fire. But underneath all of that he was the sweetest person ever, and always put everyone’s needs before his own. And this man, was a total g9ner for his Hallie girl.
I loved the entire friendship group in this book and I am so hopeful that Viv and Reese are going to get a book as it was heavily implied something happened between them and Viv really hates him.
The only thing that left me not rating this a 5 was, there was a scene at the end that I feel like needed a little more explanation from Lane, as he knew how insecure Hallie was (the party scene).
Other than that I absolutely loved it, and the revelation of AliensRRreal was absolutely everything and more, and quite possibly my favourite part.
