Great book if you want to learn how to set up your guitar, nice and easy to follow guide.

With many guitar/music shops closed recently, this book helps demystify the simpler guitar technician tasks (a good technician/luthier will still be needed for the more complicated/risky work). You don’t need to be technical to follow much of the book, but a good set of guitar set-up tools is all needed. The author explains those tasks he thinks best left to the experts! A great reference book for those who are confident to tackle beginner and intermediate tasks to eep their guitars in good order, and know when to leave some things for the real experts!

This book doesn’t have any filler, it’s quick and goes right to the punch line. You want to learn how to do a proper guitar setup, well this book tells you how. Simple enough for any newbs to understand yet educational enough to have value to an intermediate level tech. It;s just a small book, don’t expect anymore than it describes- it’s written for beginners and is well written at that. Recommended!

Early days yet, but going through the first few pages, and flicking through the book, it seems great for setting up and tweaking a guitar to get the best or desired sounds.

Scanned through this book and it looks spot on with all main makes measurements listed, which is great. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looks nice and easy to follow with clear photos. Perfect. It cost me £30 to get my Gibson SG set up, so this should save in the long run and help me keep it in perfect harmony!
