If you have absolutely no experience in creating a setting for study then this is the book for you. It does not give any effective detail beyond creating a suitable study setting for yourself. As such the title is misleading – writing skills are not developed here, rather, the book focuses on how to create a suitable context for you to do writing in. This was not what I was looking for, I considered the creation of a setting obvious, and was disappointed that actual writing skills were effectively ignored.

Brilliant book for anyone who is getting back into education, like myself, and have not written academically for sometime.

As a mature remote student, this has become my bible for everything from writing assignments to making notes. I only wish I had only known about it sooner! Highly recommend to anyone going into studies after a long break!
