This is an excellent book. Yes written for nurses who are themselves writing a dissertation so very much based around that profession as would expect. Yet the much of the process , advice and help would be transferable to other areas of study. As such this is one of the best essay, dissertation books I have seen (one of my roles is to help students write a essay). How to Write Your Nursing Dissertation provides nursing and healthcare students and anyone else with the skills to writing, develop and present an evidence-based practice healthcare dissertation, project or evidence-informed statement.
Everything needed is here.

Excellent book. I have done a fair few academic research projects within the field of healthcare and wish I had had a dissertation guide as useful as this one. For a one stop guide this is pretty much all you need for guidance on formulation, structure and evaluation. It really helps with deconstructing a thesis then building an evidence based piece of research in clear stages. Extremely well written and composed and a great help for healthcare students.

I got this for my daughter who is in the latter stages of study for full nursing qualification degree. The book is nicely produced, with decent stock, comfortably legible font / size, and well bound.
According to my daughter, the book is very informative, with excellent structure, and logically set out and clear chapters.
The book is full of useful tips, guidance, and examples to help formulate the best approach and provide a clear understanding of aims and objectives.
I would be very surprised (having chatted with my daughter) if any other Healthcare professional didn’t find this equally valuable and helpful. A must for student nurses. A great all-round step-by-step guide.
I hope you have found this helpful.

Good guide to dissertation writing, in which almost all of the content applies to general dissertations as well as nursing ones. Our trainee-nurse daughter is finding it very useful. Four stars.\

This is a comprehensive and well-written guide to writing your nursing dissertation. I am a librarian and I have bought dissertation guides for various subjects and this is the best one I have seen. The book really does cover the entire process and gives you plenty of detailed information about everything you need to know. The chapters on how to evaluate evidence and conduct research are particularly good. I really liked the style of writing as it doesn’t dumb anything down but the authors avoid jargon as much as possible.

Ok, wife is a nurse, and sometimes has nursing students with her, so we were curious about the book and his content.
It turns out, it’s a must have for any nursing student! It helps a lot with learning how to take notes, how to support the information we want to share, etc.
For the price is a must have, and should also be a great present for any family or friends working or studying to work in healthcare.
Super recommended!

If like me you struggle to formulate research questions or understand frameworks and expectations without examples and clear linear instructions this is fantastic.
I haven’t read it all yet, just a few select chapters to get a feel for the information and it’s really well presented, not overly ‘academic’ in it’s writing, it was written by someone who understands the need for accessible language. It takes you step by step through frameworks and gives examples each time (clinical and non-clinical) to support the information.
The companion website is very helpful with additional scenarios and templates to download. As well as being helpful for when I get to my dissertation next year it also has information that is generally just very helpful for all essay writing and research.

My other half is a nursing student and he is not enthusiastic about the million and one in his words write ups he has to do especially as he is dyslexic. This book has helped him plan and structure his write ups. He can now better arrange his ideas into a more cohesive body of work as expected of him on the course. This book is well written and we would definitely recommend it !
