Husband and Wife: A completely gripping and unputdownable psychological thriller with a shocking twist
£1.90
The Wife:
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can…
The Husband:
I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper. That I’ve not always been faithful. Will they think I killed her?
I think of my wife’s jealous streak, of the lies she’s told our loved ones. But if I tell the whole truth, they’ll look into her past. And that will destroy me, too…
Two people fighting for their lives. Two people with secrets to hide. Who will you believe?
A completely compelling and twisty page-turner from number 1 bestselling author K.L. Slater. Fans of Lisa Jewell and Freida McFadden will be hooked by Husband and Wife.

I know when I find a great a book as I’ll read it until my kindle drops out of my hand…and then wake up 1/2 times in the night to read another few chapters…just like this one! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book, the characters, the plot, the author’s style of writing, the before & now chapters…I tore through it & didn’t want it to end!

I have read quite a few books by this author and I have to say that this is the best one so far. The story flies off in all sorts of directions and although I thought I knew what had happened I was so wrong. If you read this on a Kindle be aware that the actual book end at about the 88% mark. I can’t wait to read the next one.

As a fan of k l slater i have never been disappointed and once again this is spot on..The burb tells the story in essence a husband and wife inteoven into another missing mother myatery. Its a skillful blurb and you believe the story is based on parker and luna and the other characters mainly their both sets of parents are side characters but that is so wrong.
This is a psychological thriller that has you hooked from page 1 told from the pov of parker. Nichola his mum and luna his wife with the interwoven missung story from the pov of the police. Skillful writing brings everything together and you are lead betwern luna and parker and then bang bang twist after twist and you realise she’s done it again with her creativity i loved every second of this from the front cover and burb and had to admit I was sad for it to end.

Totally gripped from the get-go.
Twists. Turns. Shocks at every turn of the page. Cliff hanging ends to chapters, making you want to carry on. A seriously “cannot put down” book.

Another excellent book from K L Slater! Totally gripping with a terrific plot, for once I got ‘who dunnit’ wrong! My only criticism would be the repeated misuse of the word infer, I find this annoying and somewhat surprising in an author!
