At first I found it hard to switch from the present book to the book about the story but I eventually got it and loved it. In true Susan Lewis’s style the gripping story kept me page turning. The twists & turns were brilliant and keeping the suspense right to the last couple of chapters was perfect. Can’t wait for the next book ????

I have read a lot of Susan Lewis’ books and enjoyed them, but this one didn’t really appeal to me. It has a story within a story, and because of the similarities of the two, I found it quite confusing to sort out who was who. The ending was a very strange. It kind of fizzled out without a dramatic conclusion. And the last revelation was not very good as it really made no difference to the overall story. All in all, I was unconvinced by the plot and the characters.

This book within a book idea was not good. I was getting mixed up with the characters, as they had two names. One for the main book and another within the book inside, being told by a main character of the book. Confused? So was I.
As always the storyline was excellent, there had been a murder 12hrs ago and Marina the head of a publishing company was under suspicion, according to the evidence. But Marina was found innocent after evidence was found on another colleague.
Now the book within this book comes in, the other colleague is released early and is threatening Marina with chapters of what really happened, or did it!!

    Another good read.
It was a long time to get going, just as others had said. The characters created are great, and it was told well. There were bits that I could see where it was ,reading to and I was not wrong. Other parts Undid not see! So all in all, a good holiday read!

This book had so many twists and turns, that it was sometimes hard to keep up. Kept having to remind myself what “story” I was in. So compelling and really worth the read.
