Bought this to use in nursery with 2 year olds. They really enjoyed it and seemed to identify with Little Princess! Not sure it would help encourage children to give up their dummies, but definately helped the children to feel normal for having one!! Would recommend if wanting to help provoke discussion about why we have dummies….

Awesome book! A great book for helping convince your toddler to give up the dummy. We spent a month reading this leading up to her 3rd Birthday. She gave it to a baby gorilla and hasn’t asked for one since.

It’s a really nice book which keeps my 2 and a half years old daughter really occupied but still haven’t seen any real progress in giving up her dummy. To be honest she does give her dummy to me every time we read this book but she cries for her dummy once we finish reading it. I’ll keep on trying but will search for other books as well.

Not too sure about this book. It doesnt seem like that my daughter likes it that much. We have another one (I want my potty) ans she prefers it.

Differs from the televised episode but a great book. My daughter loves it!

My little girl loves the LIttle princess stories, and it’s time she was encouraged to give up her dummy as she is 3 years old and I thought it would be a great book to help her, This book was a great disapointment to me because it made her want her dummy even more after we finished reading it and I also do not like the bit about burgulars coming to take it, I have to skip that page, I am now searching for more ideas.

Does exactly what it describes. Have yet to take dummy off little one but am also aiming to use Santa Claus as a tiny incentive too.

Cute book though hasn’t discouraged my 2.5yr old to dump the dummy.
