I’m a Therapist, and My Patient is Going to be the Next School Shooter: 6 Patient Files That Will Keep You Up At Night: 1 (Dr. Harper Therapy)
£7.60
I’m a therapist, and I work with the most dangerous patients.
I’ve seen it all… A boy who planned to be the next school shooter. A patient with OCD whose loved ones really did suffer every time he missed a ritual. A choir boy who claimed he was being molested — not by a priest — but by God Himself. A patient with PTSD who gave me nightmares. A husband and wife who accused each other of abuse, and only one of them was telling the truth.
And how could I ever forget, Patient #220.
The problem is, my patients have a habit of dying. Sometimes I wonder if I’m the common denominator. Or maybe that’s just the cost of taking on exceptionally broken clients.
Either way, I’ll never stop trying to help.

I’M A THERAPIST AND MY PATIENT IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT SCHOOL SHOOTER
by Dr Harper
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book has received some negative reviews regarding the subject matter, and the releasing of patient records. Calm down, its fiction. It isn’t real. It even says that in the book. “this is a work of fiction etc. etc.”
Now that’s out of the way, this book starts with the personal records from a school psychologist, who’s patient, wait for it, is going to be the next school shooter. A shock I know. Wasn’t expecting that. No, wait…
There are several widely different cases detailed in these pages with an ending I certainly didn’t see coming.
Okay I get why some might be upset at making fiction from an emotive subject like that, but this is a case of art imitating life. Perhaps it will keep us talking about the ease at which young people can access lethal firearms, or noticing someone becoming withdrawn and angry so someone can help them. I hope so.
I like to say I want to visualise the scene as it unfolds, and I found that very easy with this book. I say “this book” cause the title is too long to keep typing. I found each character occasionally easy to relate to with real world problems, and some most definitely not. If you can relate to every single issue raised here, please let me know.
Overall I enjoyed reading Ermmm this book, and recommend it to fiction readers, although I would say it’s more for adults because of the subject matter.

Ok – this was something else.
Litterally.
I don’t know very much about Reddit, but I believe (and correct me if I’m wrong) that Dr.Harper is some kind of Reddit user that writes for the NoSleep-account on Reddit?!
The whole book is written through the eyes of the psychological therapist, Dr.Harper, who is a fictional character and I don’t know anything more than that, it’s all very strange – but I’m totally buying it????????????????
I enjoyed this book a lot. It’s divided up in six different chapters/stories made up as patient files of Dr.Harper’s patients. And of course it takes a Deep dive int the subject matter of mental health.
I will not tell you much more than that because of spoilers, but all of the stories are pretty dark and disturbing in it’s own way. They’re all different patients with very complex stories and problems, and we gain good insight into each patients head- as well as in Dr.Harpers own head!
I feel it very hard to describe this book without spoling anything – so i’ll leave it with that.
I highly recommend this if you want something different!
It’s a solid 4⭐️ from me⭐️

I started this book with no expectation and found I couldn’t put it down. Excellent read very easy and unputdownable

I decided to read this book because it was available on Kindle Unlimited, and the title caught my attention. This is probably the main reason why most people decided to read this book in the first place.
What you should probably know is that this is a compilation of fake patient files by a therapist that does not exist in the style and format of a creepypasta from /r/nosleep. If you are unfamiliar with /r/nosleep on Reddit, you are probably better off going onto that subreddit and reading some creepypastas on there.
It is worthwhile mentioning that if the length of this book were any longer, this would have probably been a DNF, but since it was relatively short and straightforward to read, it kept me going.
The book managed to do a pretty good job of keeping my interest and was a pretty good page-turner. I would put this down to the simplicity of the language, plot and a general lack of having to think about anything to do in the story.
I particularly liked how this story was structured, and the format kept me interested. The story is split into sections. Each section is an individual patient file and tells that patient’s story. It made the book a lot easier to digest.
I couldn’t find a single character remotely interesting or likeable within this book. Everyone was relatively one-dimensional and had the personality of a soggy piece of cardboard.
The narrator was specifically despicable. I’m unsure if this enhanced the reading experience because I kept wishing that something terrible had happened to the narrator so that my suffering could end. Still, I groaned and sighed at some of the narrator’s internal monologue.
Addressing the elephant in the room – this book is primarily based on mental illnesses. Unfortunately, it felt insensitive and even a bit offensive regarding the stereotypical portrayal of some of the patient’s issues. Thankfully, this entire story is a work of fiction, and I can only hope that the author chooses to undertake some research before writing about something sensitive.
The entire story was unrealistic, and there was no foreshadowing of the events that happened throughout the patient files. This means that when things happen out of the blue, there isn’t even a hint of shock or grand revelation due to it being so poorly thought out.
If you’re looking for a very quick read that doesn’t require the use of a single brain cell to process the story or information – read this book.
Alternatively, if you find the concept of this intriguing but would like to feel some genuine emotion and excitement – go to /r/nosleep instead. You will find so many works of phenomenal quality that are much better than this, and it will cost you nothing.
Some of the best creepypastas originate from nosleep, and some are so realistic and insanely well-researched that you will question whether it is a work of fiction or not.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great short stories that all come together in the end. Love anthologies, not knowing that this is what it would be, great surprise and read in one sitting.
There is some trigger moments in the book but handled brilliantly by the author.
