The book provides real practical advice on how to organize a Revit project from the basics: File sizes, project browser, view templates, types of parameters, etc. It also touches in industry best practises in collaborating with other disciplines and on the use of worksets and linked views. I like that it focuses on the importance of planning data management at the beginning of project as a key point for being successful. Last section of the book highlights the main plug-ins that are very useful for speed up management of the project. It gives an introduction to dynamo and power bi and the multiple options both provide in enhancing productivity. It doesn’t include in depth guidance or tips on best practise in family creation, but that its an extensive topic that might require a new book just for that.

I am an MEP BIM Manager with 15 years in the technical drawing and BIM industry and I can recommend this book to everyone who would like to expand their knowledge of how to implement BIM in their place of work. This book not only explains the fundamentals of BIM through Revit but also highlights the best practices and workflows to trim the fat off common Revit problems and inaccuracies. Each section is carefully illustrated and explained in detail and I was easily able to follow the Authors steps.

Regardless on whether you’re new or knowledgeable to BIM/Revit, BIM Manager or Architect, you will certainly find something new or insightful in it.
It covers lots of ground through its ten chapters as it takes us through the many aspects of working in BIM using Revit. From high-level topics such as BIM Implementation and Training to more finely detailed tips and tricks on Revit best practice.
Putting all this together in such a clear and succint format was no small feat.
Thank you for sharing the knowledge, Fabio and Decio.

Very well written position. It’s recommended to have some experience with Revit to find out how helpful this book might be. As we all experiencing different problems with this software, after reading this book you know how to approach a lot of them. Very good for BIM managers to set up rules to follow in BIM process, avoiding unnecessary delays and troubles. Downside is that you need access to different softwares to utilize this book fully, but even wihtout them, you find a lot of helpful tips.
