This book is for everyone – for beginners, experienced salesperson, managers and business leaders. The core to this is its simplicity. The models and frameworks discussed are about people, psychology and how we humans interact with each other, noticing our surroundings and become the best possible professionals we can be. The book goes well above and beyond the standard sales training, tricks and pitfalls. It coaches you using well thought, tried and test models/frameworks where each component of the framework is discussed by drawing from real world experiences that all of us can relate too.
Reference to external materials such as already prepared templates that enable you to quickly apply lessons learnt is excellent.
I learnt from this book and enjoyed reading it.

It’s a joy to read a book that’s not preaching to me, doesn’t make things complicated, and totally makes sense!
The INSPIRe method explained in the book is really simple and I’m sure it’s really effective too. Great to hear the author’s own experiences weaved through the book – that brought it to life for me. Fully recommend this book as a great read for new and experienced sales people, and also for anyone wanting to understand the sales world more.

Having started a career in sales over 30 years ago and after a number of years in management I am now back in front line Business Development and was looking for an accessible and up to date guide to ensure my skills are relevant in the world today. I found this book really helpful and it moves at a great pace. The content and sales models are very clear and powerful with exercises to match the level of experience of the reader (new or mastery). The author has clearly ‘been there” with great examples and stories to help the content come to life and I really like the focus on the psychology and softer skills. The skills are also relevant for anyone wanting to influence others-so not just front line sales and business development. Overall I found it a very energising and beneficial read and it will help me achieve my stretch targets for the year!

‘Inspire, Influence, Sell’ is a really enjoyable read, and a book I would recommend to both new and experienced sales people. It seems to operate at two levels: as a practical guide to the sales process through the INSPIRe Secret Sales System methodology; and secondly as a rallying cry for personal development, which is clearly a passion for the author. I would say there is something here for most people.
Looking forward to future publications from Justin Leigh who is emerging as an exciting new thought leader in this field.

There is so much to read on the subject of influence, from deep academic material based on psychology to light and fluffy application. Justin’s book Inspire Influence Sell applies the skills of influence directly to selling and makes it so straight forward that as you read the book you can start to formulate how you will apply the skills, something many books fail to deliver.
I found the INSPIRE model extremely useful and the approaches to influence highly relevant. This book should be read by anyone in sales at any level, I myself have been in sales for 30 years and have learned some truly magical nuggets. This book is highly recommended, go on add it to your basket.

Although Justin recommends going through this book in sections and making notes regularly, I actually read this all in 3 sittings in an evening and the following day. It’s accessible, relatable and thoroughly enjoyable.
Unlike most sales books (as useful as they all are) this impressed me because there were some elements that were genuinely new to me. Going over the core skills from different angles is great of course, but it’s rare someone brings something entirely new to the table that makes you think. The Inspire method is like all the best inventions, simple and effective. Not overly complicated and honest.
I’m currently on a jobhunt and am not sure whether I will end up going down a more managerial route or a more sales led role – either way I’ll be going through this again and doing the journal work to reinforce whichever path I end up taking.
