Kids are like sponges and absorb so much information, this is a fantastic book to help them learn and remember fun facts! My son (aged 6) loves sports and in particular, is obsessed with football. He loves this book – even if some of the facts he already knows! I love that this covers a wide range of sports, including lesser-known ones – or ones that perhaps don’t get the tv coverage like the popular ones. We can dip in and out of this book… and then impress family and friends with our knowledge!! Great for quizzes too!

This is another educational book for kids that i would recommend. So many historical facts to note.

Initially I wasn’t interested in this book – neither of our boys are particularly sporty lads, nor are they really interested in acknowledging that sport actually exists.
Don’t get me wrong; I have no desire to be a footy Mam stood out in all weathers cheering when I really don’t even know which goal is which or whether something is offside, or whatever ????????♀️ but it would be nice to see them taking just a little bit of interest.
So imagine my surprise when I went to retrieve something from their room one morning this week to discover that our 7 year old had actually taken the time to sit and not only read some of this book, but he had taken notes!
This is definitely an achievement. This book clearly captured his interest, despite him not being at all bothered about sports. Not only has he learned some interesting facts but he also practised his hand writing thanks to this book.
Since I discovered this he has also taken to making quizzes and testing the (non existent) sports knowledge of the rest of the family and impressing us with his knowledge thanks to the facts he has learned!
So all in all I do actually recommend this book, even if at first glance you think it wouldn’t be appreciated or enjoyed. Remember; never judge a book by the cover!

Every day my daughter loves to tell as about all the facts she’s learnt at school so this was a great purchase for her. Our family is now being inundated with sports facts and our daughter is having a blast.
