Introduction to Bookkeeping: AAT Level 2 Q2022 Study Guide (AAT Level 2 Q2022 Study Guides)
£10.00
Written by an accountancy lecturer and AAT-qualified bookkeeper, this study guide covers the key unit topics of:
- The Basics of Double-Entry Bookkeeping
- Receivables and Payables Ledger
- General Ledger
- Cash Book
- Petty Cash Book
- Assessment Support
Unlike other textbooks and study guides, this study guide follows a scenario-based approach, following a business owner as they start their business, making the opening entries, making credit sales and purchases, paying suppliers and customers, making cash sales and purchases, and operate petty cash, setting up numerous ledger accounts in order to to do so.
With over 200 pages, each chapter contains the key learning from the topic as well as a digital focus to make the links between manual and computerised bookkeeping, as well as a range of questions in order to practice the necessary skills to become a successful AAT-qualified bookkeeper.
The book ends with a section on assessment support, in order to prepare students for exams, as well as the answers to the earlier questions in the book.
This book has received an update in September 2023, with some errors corrected and changes of formatting to improve readability.

I noticed several typos that any comprehensive proofreading session would have rectified. I suspect that a professional proofreader was not tasked to assist with the quality of the content in this publication. In bookkeeping terms, the content does appear to align well with other material I’m using as far as I can tell (I’m not a bookkeeper as of yet).
