Terribley inaccurate book using weak hadiths and written in a condescending tone which is sure to turn teenagers away from Islam. The book is basically a huge list of everything which (according to the author) is impermissible. This includes playing chess, going on vacation and taking photos. The book does not focus on any of the benefits of Islam for youngsters and is not at all written in a warm or inviting way which would encourage young Muslims to practice and follow our beautiful religion. It makes everything seem haram and has a very authoritarian and judgemental tone. Also, the book is named “Islam for Teenagers” but is clearly written for males only as it focuses on male issues and when talking about female issues, makes it seem like it is warning readers not to marry females with “undesirable” characteristics.

This is a really damaging book which has the potential to make young Muslims believe that they will never be able to follow such a strict and unforgivable religion, which true Islam is not. Please don’t buy this for your teenager – search for a book which will guide them in a way that will show them the beauty and protection of this religion.

This book is too deep for a teenager’s and and most things been mentioned in this book said is haram while as scholars mention is not haram.
I originally bought it for my teenage child but after reading it myself now I decided to not give it to my child to read it.
Islam is a beautiful religion and books like this just scares children away.
It could be written in a better way without so extreme and harshness.
