Gives lites of ideas and small steps towards being ok. It’s a dip and think kinda book. Dip into it and reflect on short chapters as required.

I found this to be a very useful little book. It is handbag sized so you can take it with you wherever you go, and have a little read whenever you need some advice, reassurance or kind words to help you along.
This book contains lots of really useful tips from the importance of connecting with the natural world, to stopping the cycle of negative thoughts to facing your fears and working through them. The chapters come in handy little bite sized chunks, so you can refer to them again and again. Throughout the book there are quotes from famous and inspirational people that are not only thought provoking, but also serve to remind us that we are all human, and we all struggle from time to time. Everyone should have this caring little book in their lives!

A great book for depressives like me….but hardback is not what I believed I was getting…my first copy long since handed on to another sufferer was soft back and that was better. Personal choice but don’t like the rather stark black and white style. All this takes nothing away form the quality of the advice.

Simple in writing style and broad in what it covers so don’t expect any big insights into any specific topic. Worth a read.

Really the kind of stuff you find in a woman’s magazine or online for free. The book is made up of one-page chapters with titles like – get out in the fresh air, move a little more, soak in the bath, try meditating, inhale fully, exhale slowly, stretch yourself, try a few yoga pose. All well repeated recommendations from the “Well-mania” industry and mainstream media. Nothing wrong with it exactly, but its a bit patronising and couldn’t have taken more than a fortnight to write this book, it’s just a repeat of everyday maxims now. However about 2 good quotes by other people, hence 2 stars instead of 1. I wonder, maybe if I had the connections I could write this stuff and be paid for it, no offence!
