Two brand-new legal thrillers in one book – from the authors of Juror No. 3.
A young lawyer takes on the judge who is destroying her hometown – and ends up behind bars.
In picture-perfect Erva, Alabama, the most serious crimes are misdemeanors. Speeding tickets. Shoplifting. Contempt of court.
Then why is the jail so crowded? And why are so few prisoners released? There is only one place to learn the truth.
Sometimes the best education a lawyer can get is a short stretch of hard time. . .

I have always been one for watching court room drama’s so when I noticed this book written by one of my all time favourite authors, I just had to buy it and I am so glad that I did. It is one of those books, I try to read slower because I don’t want it to end but actually, I speed up because I am impatient and can’t wait to see what will happen. You will love this book. The skill of James Patterson is once again, outstanding. The characters are awesome. The story flows. You need to buy it right now and then clear your diary for a day, put the kettle nest to the sofa and put your feel up. Enjoy.

First, the main character only runs for half the book as the second is for a different story altogether. And it felt on the first one that nothing was really happening until the end when someone decides to randomly give evidence. Just seemed a weak storyline.

Jailhouse Lawyer
A tense , emotional, legal thriller that gets to the heart of corruption in the US legal system.
With well rounded characters that you can believe in this was an enjoyable read. – what’s not to like about the little guy taking on the big powerful bullies.
Martha the main character is put through the mill and having a young childdependant with a heart condition made me really root for her to get to the bottom of this small town corruption. With issues of legal corruption, mysyogyny narcisssism and the failure of the US legal syetem to protect the underdog, this is a pwerful, smart well paced book with a strong determined femal main character.
Power of Attorney
Again a small town attempted miscarriage odf justice is fought againset by the dogged persitent Leah Renall on her return to her small town of Bassville where the locals with power join forces to hide corruption and commit atrocious crimes. Again it is well-written and compelling.
