My grand-daugher is loving reading these books – full of information about animals presented in lovely stories. The vocabulary is just at the right level for an eight year old.

8 yr old boy loved these simple, sweet stories. Short and suitable for reading by themselves. Requested after reading ‘The Owl who was afraid of the Dark’ at school. My favourite was the one about the penguin. His favourite was the one about the cat. Nicely written and very innocent with comforting, reassuring themes for young kids. Makes a change from the, now ubiquitous, slightly too knowing humour, slapstick and frenetic stories doing the rounds in most children’s literature currently.

I bought these as we had a focus on the author for a term at school. My children (year 3) thoroughly enjoyed sharing these around and discussing the different animals they came across. Lovely little books.

My daughter had already read The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark at school and absolutely loved it. With Summer fast approaching, I decided to buy her the set to read during the holidays.
In The Owl, the characters are engaging and it is a useful life lesson about how you can get support from friends and family when you have fears and troubles.
I look forward to having the rest of the books read to me over the summer.

Wonderfull books. The favourite in our family is Plop ( the little owl). Every book teaches the kids something.

Nothing to dislike so far, as we have not yet open the cellophane packaging.

These books are timeless . I read them to my daughter who now reads them to her children. This was bought by their great grandmother for the youngest grandchild’s birthday. A love of books can never be encouraged enough.
