I’ve owned this book for many years, almost since it was first published, and still refer back to it to this day. It’s informative, interesting and in plain English. It’s simple enough for beginners, but there’s enough to keep the more experienced photographer interested. I’ve read books by other authors since, but they don’t seem to explain things the way John Hedgecoe does, he has a wonderful way of getting his point across and I would never hesitate to buy any of his books.
