From USA TODAY Bestselling author Lena Hendrix

Getting tangled up with an Olympic rugby player seems like the perfect way to forget about how my life is falling apart. Until I discover he’s my ex-boyfriend’s best friend.

Logan Brown walked into my small town with a charming grin and mischief in his eyes. He’s a world-class flirt and his confident masculinity is almost as distracting as those rugby thighs.

Given my inexperienced history, I’m no match for our undeniable chemistry. I vow to keep him at arm’s length. But with Logan, every lingering stare—every forbidden touch—awakens something inside of me I thought I had buried for good.

We both know we shouldn’t cross that line, but I have spent my entire life being a good girl, and suddenly I’m tempted to be very, very bad.

Especially when Logan tells me to just say yes.

Just Say Yes is the fifth and final instalment in the King Family series by author Lena Hendrix. Despite knowing it was coming… I cannot believe that we have officially reached the end of our stay in Outtatowner, Michigan. Two years, nine books, one novella and the wonderful merging of two rivalling families later brings the realisation that the time has come to pack our bags as we follow Hendrix on her next writing endeavour into the unknown. I’ve truly come to cherish this quirky little town with its hidden charms, hilarious antics and all of its unforgettable residents that have come together and made these books into an unforgettable reading experience. Just Say Yes is easily my favourite of the series with its seamless pacing found me unable to put this book down as I devoured its contents within one sitting. The undefeatable found family elements are at the heart of the series as I find myself forever feeling charmed and emotionally touched by the way these characters have connected on an intimate level to form an everlasting bond that can never be broken through a combination of time, patience and understanding. To have followed all of these characters on their journey towards happily ever after has felt like such a privilege, and I just know that I will continue to cherish their stories and reread all of the books within this world for many years to come. This book felt like such a strong ending to an already strong series built upon the significance in family bonds and the sense of community can be found within embracing the differences that can pull you together in the most unconventional circumstances. I have come to the end of this series with nothing less than a great sense of satisfaction and gratification for the compelling experience that I was taken on over the past two years which has been deeply rooted in character exploration and discovery, and already I look forward to seeing what comes next for the author. See you later Outtatowner… it’s been a blast and an honour.

    𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭:
With the long-awaited resolution to the Russell King conflict being concluded in the book prior to this one, Just Say Yes felt limitless in its possibilities to explore our two main characters to the fullest as we resolve any final loose threads without the weight of a long awaited sub-plot stealing the focus. I absolutely loved this book as it honestly felt like a reward with the absence of that horrible man draining the life out of our wonderful cast of characters who had suffered for his own gain, and I truly had the best time getting to see this family come together as they discovered what a life of freedom looked like. I loved that the focus of this book seemed to be more on MJ’s development and inner reflection after living the majority of her life in the shadows of others instead of introducing an added element of suspense. She really steps out into the light and stands apart from her other siblings, so I had the best time getting to know this sweet soul and her love interest as both the Sullivan and King families readjust to their new lives. I couldn’t have asked for a better and more comforting end to this series, so I’m ultimately really happy with the more relaxed approach that the author took with regards to the plot.

    𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
Julep ‘MJ’ King is the youngest of the five King siblings and has spent much of her life living within the shadows of others. Experiencing a horrible past relationship has left its mark upon MJ as she finds herself struggling with her sense of worthiness and the anxiety surrounding her inexperience as a romantic partner. My heart broke when the truth surrounding her fears were revealed as I desperately wished that I had the ability to reach through the page and give this beautiful soul the biggest hug that I can manage. This wonderful and selfless woman is so deserving of the love, loyalty and devotion that she clearly yearns for and I found myself eagerly anticipating the moment that she, too, would come to this realisation. MJ’s journey is slow yet steady as it was filled with the self-reflection that helped drive her character forward as she began to discover her own strength and authoritative voice. Her heart of gold and selfless nature made her an easy character to relate to and fall in-love with as it becomes apparent how devoted she is to the care of others. There’s no denying that MJ is a caretaker at heart who always seeks to put the needs of others above her own, so I immediately knew that she was desperately in need of a love interest that would gladly put her needs first. I was really proud of her character growth from start-to-finish and the way she found the bravery to seek out the closure that had been haunting her since the lives of her family had been upended. MJ really grows into herself in her discovery that a proud and confident woman was just waiting to emerge with the right support and encouragement, and I have loved every single moment of her journey as she begins to embrace that very woman. MJ is easily my favourite member of the King family (don’t tell Royal) and I couldn’t be happier that we are ending this series on such a strong and resolute note.

Logan Brown is the greenest of green flags who can do no wrong, and I cannot believe we have waited the entirety of the series before being introduced to this irresistible man. Now listen, I’ve never (personally) been a woman with an interest in a moustache… however I know that I’m not alone in saying that I’d ride that ‘stache anytime and anywhere. Not only is he an insanely attractive rugby player with the massive thighs to match… but he also knows how to communicate his needs and encourages the same communication from others. Successful, attractive, a fully-developed frontal cortex and emotionally mature? This truly must be Fiction because consider me in-love and offering my hand in marriage. It’s almost embarrassing how giddy this fictional man has made me feel as he embraces his emotional complexities with a willingness to work through them whilst honouring his own boundaries and need to work through them at his own pace. Logan faces a lot of his own internal battles and emotional struggles throughout this book, and it was so refreshing to see a main character actively work through whilst actively seeking out the insight and support from others. His backstory is not lacking in tragedy, however you can really see that the strength of his upbringing has helped in supporting and building Logan into the man that we get to know throughout his journey. I really enjoyed getting to know Logan’s character and seeing how seamlessly he blended into the Sullivan/King family dynamic. Something that I’ll never get tired of seeing is a character, regardless of gender identity, putting focus and emphasis on clear and enthusiastic consent. Despite his own desires Logan refuses to push and only continues to pursue MJ with her clear consent which just added to his overall appeal and attractiveness. Consent is sexy and absolutely does not take away from the intimate scene being portrayed, and honestly I just could not think of a single negative thing to say about Logan Brown. He’s my favourite Outtatowner love interest and he was the perfect man to conclude this series with.

    𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
The ‘meet cute’ between Logan and MJ was my absolute favourite of the series as an unfortunate misunderstanding leads to an embarrassing situation and warring emotions finds the pair leaving an unforgettable impression upon each other. I was laughing so hard at the awkwardness of it all as I really found both character’s distinctive personalities and voices to shine through from that very first interaction. I loved getting to see their relationship blossom from this interaction as immediate dislike seems to effortlessly develop into instant chemistry and sparks that will leave you fanning your face in anticipation. The way that Logan and MJ’s entire dynamic is built upon from trust, patience and respect is where the strengths of their origins lie which is what makes them my favourite couple of the series. The vulnerability that exists between the pair created this intimate dynamic that we get to see them fall back into time-and-time again. Logan and MJ visibly put a lot of time and effort towards developing an environment resolute in its strength for both characters to lean upon with the ability to safely emotionally fall apart without judgement and fear. The unwavering belief that exists between both characters as they know that they will be met with nothing but support and love really had me feeling emotional on their behalf, and it was such a joy to experience a budding love free of any toxicity and uncertainties. I loved the way that both characters seemed to instinctively recognise the other on a baser level that cannot be explained. Their pull was magnetic with their connection becoming apparent to their peers long before Logan and MJ themselves are ready to acknowledge what exists between them. Logan and MJ are by no means perfect and definitely find themselves facing some conflict as a direct result of their own personal struggles, however I have nothing but respect for the way that they approach their differences and the way they work towards prioritising the importance on communicating their needs. Their relationship continues to grow in strength with every new chapter and I had the most wonderful experience getting to follow these two lonely people with an endless supply of love to give find their match.

    𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
Just Say Yes was the best conclusion to the King Family series that I could’ve hoped for which helps to alleviate the emotional sting in the acknowledgment that it’s truly over. I am so grateful to have followed this compelling cast of characters on their tumultuous journey from beginning-to-end, and I cannot wait to see where the author will take us next in her next book as her writing continues to grow in strength with every new release.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do now that this series is over! I absolutely loved getting to know all of the Sullivan’s & Kings and with this last one, Lena Hendrix finally gave us MJ’s HEA – it was perfect!

This starts with such a funny meet-cute when MJ is the nurse for Olympic Rugby player Logan’s grandfather. There is instant attraction & after some groveling due to one of the best meet-cute misunderstandings, Logan gets a chance with the girl he can’t stop thinking about.

This is an emotional story focusing on MJ – her feelings of unworthiness & her insecurities have deep roots, stemming from her father & also the first man she ever let in. Logan handles her with such care & shows her what it means to be seen, cherished & loved. Holy hotness, that man is perfection. His patience & understanding levels up his swoon factor.

Their relationship progresses in such a beautiful & captivating way. There is such mutual respect between them & I love that Logan lets MJ set the pace. Her trauma & pain is evident throughout but her character development is beautiful to watch (culminating with her standing up for herself in such a fierce way).

I absolutely loved every moment of this story. We get to see our favorite families one last time & this small town of Outtatowner is one that I truly will miss.

My favorite series of all time coming to an end. IT HURTS in the best way! The Sullivans and The Kings came so full circle with this last book being MJ King. She was there from the start looking over Red Sullivans at her work. Then Wyatt from book 1 coming in to relate to Logan on being a pro athlete, loved that!! MJ was relatable for me being the little sister. Logan being the blueprint for men, like how oh how was he single with no baggage in his closet? And have Arthur, his grandpa, as his favorite person, Logan was everything!

Just Say Yes is the final book in the King series and the final book set in Outtatowner. While I’m gutted to be leaving my favorite small town, I was so happy to finally get my hands on MJ’s story.

MJ, the youngest king sibling, has been a recurring character ever since One Look. She works in the local nursing home and is super sweet, a little bit quiet, but always up for a bit of a fun time. We finally get to see MJ from her own eyes and we learn a little bit about her previous relationship history, her internal struggles and how she kind of feels a little bit behind in life. I really connected with MJ because of this! I also thought she was really brave, in an understated way.

Logan is a Rugby Sevens player just coming off a Gold Medal in the recent Olympics. He’s doing exhibition matches at the moment because he’s injured. He’s approaching the end of his career although he’s trying to delay it. I really liked Logan and how he stuck to his beliefs and trusted MJ above all else. He was her number one supporter.

The pair don’t get off to a good start. A hilarious first meeting sees Logan accuse MJ of being a hooker, because she was on a “date” with his elderly grandfather – a resident of the nursing home. Logan apologies with tickets to his game and when he wins, he becomes convinced MJ is his lucky charm.

Neither MJ or Logan want a serious relationship. MJ is also trying to gain some experience via casual hookups which makes for some fun between them. Logan is also best friends with MJs ex and I really enjoy how that part of the story played out and how everyone reacted.

I’m so sad to be leaving Outtatowner and but this was a really good ending to the whole series! Also, make sure you don’t miss the bonus chapter! I think it is my favourite of all the King and Sullivan bonus chapters.

Thank you so much to Lena for the ARC!

    This book: 5 stars
    MJ: 5 stars
    Logan: 5 stars
    This series: infinite stars

Note: I am not going to put any spoilers for Just Say Yes, but I have to talk about Outtatowner and the series, from One Look to Just Like That because this is the final book in a series I hold so close to my heart. I have never been so in love with a series this long where I love book 1 and book 9 just as much.

    I truly can’t pick a favorite book.

Just Say Yes is so patient and sweet, just like MJ and the perfect ending to this wild ride. Logan has just as much patience and is so down bad for our girl. He wants to be there for her while she’s there for everyone else. He’s the one she needs in her corner to remind her that she deserves everything she gives.

And he was the perfect one to complete the Sullivan/King family. He fit in so easily. Like he had been there all this time.

This series is just so amazing watching these two Hatfield v McCoy, Montague v Capulet families who hate each other and don’t know why other than that’s just how it is. They go from dividing the town and even the bar down the middle, to being there for each other while the lake is being drained and finding answers.

And every couple, I love them all so much.
    Lark/Wyatt
    Kate/Beckett
    Annie/Lee
    Sylvie/Duke
    Emily/Whip
    Sloane/Abel
    Veda/Royal
    Hazel/JP
    MJ/Logan

Just can’t stop talking about them honestly. I’m so sad it’s over but so glad I can go visit them again!

It’s so nice to finally get to meet sweet MJ. The baby of the family, the quiet one. It’s easy to see how she could become lost within a family of such big personalities but despite that the relationship she has with her siblings is lovely to read. Her big sister looks out for her and is an energetic supporter of MJ’s kind heart, her brothers are her protectors should she need them and Aunt Bug is the silent steady presence of reason and support that is always there quietly cheering for MJ while also giving her the space to find her own way.

Her history in love is not great…one nasty ex has diminished her confidence in love and all it entails. So when the Olympic rugby star starts to show MJ some true care and attention it completely throws her off balance! Especially after the way their first meeting went!

I enjoyed this very much. Logan is just the right amount of confidence and care for MJ. He gives her the space she needs whilst still pushing her to be herself. MJ gives Logan a safe place to land and a future he could only have imagined before.

Bittersweet as always to leave a series of characters but excited to see what the lady has up next for us!

WHAT am I supposed to do now that the Sullivan and Kings series has officially ended?! 🥲 Somebody hold me.

Just Say Yes gave me EVERYTHING I could’ve asked for and more. MJ and Logan’s story was the sweetest, steamiest, most swoonworthy goodbye to this world. 🥹💕

The youngest King finally got her story!

Olympic rugby player with the thighs of dreams? ✔️

Nurse FMC who has been keeping herself guarded? ✔️

Ex boyfriend’s best friend trope? ✔️

    Age gap spice? ✔️✔️✔️

Logan Brown just walked into Outtatowner like a wrecking ball of charm and masculine energy. I fell just as hard and fast as MJ did; every smirk, every lingering touch, every “no strings attached” promise they absolutely couldn’t keep. Watching MJ come into her own, rediscover her confidence, and learn how to live for herself (not just for everyone else) was so emotional and so worth it.

And of course, Lena Hendrix gave us the quirkiest of quirky towns, a giant family that makes you want to be adopted into it, and a big ol’ teary “see ya later” to a world I’ve absolutely loved being in. 😭

If you love: 🏉 Forbidden chemistry 💖 Tender, supportive MMC 🔥 Slow burns that light all the way up 🌻 Small towns that feel like characters themselves then you’ll be obsessed with Just Say Yes too.

I’m not ready to leave the Kings or the Sullivans behind, but honestly, Lena gave them a perfect sendoff. MJ and Logan’s story felt like coming home one last time. 💕

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (and a million little hearts)

I have been waiting to read MJs story, and Lena Hendrix did not disappoint one bit when it came to her romance! This was the perfect book to end the series with.

MJ has always been a favorite of mine since we first were introduced to her and I knew she was going to need a special kind of guy to give her everything she deserved and Logan was absolutely perfect for her.

Mj is such a sweet and amazing person, She has such a big heart. She definitely is the heart and soul of the King family, and to see the journey she goes through when dealing with the aftermath of her horrible fathers death and how strong she is was amazing. I loved seeing her more playful, and all too funny sassy side come out when interacting with Logan. He helped bring her out of her shell and gave her the support she needed.

Logan is such a fantastic and just over all great guy. Being a rugby player has been all he knows and loves for a very long time but when he meets MJ (with the help of his adorable grandfather) he starts to see that he wants more in his life than just the game. He and MJ were meant to be, and I loved reading about their HEA.

This book was full of swoon, laugh out loud shenanigans, and so many emotional moments. This was a fantastic end to this series, and while im sad to say goodbye to the King family and Outtatowner, I know whatever comes next from Lena Hendrix will be another fantastic journey.
