As one of Les Bubka’s students for the last ten years in lus fighting my own battles with my physical health due to having multiple sclerosis. And being one of the students who contributed to the content of this book as wolverine. I found it really helpful and good to read other people’s thoughts. Les is a brilliant writer and very insightful and inspiring teacher of martial arts too.

Only just started reading this book and it looks to be an interesting read. We are all aware of mental health and based on what I have read this book gives you an insight into people struggling in everyday life and how he has welcomed people in to his dojo and working with them to get them through the struggles.

This was an enjoyable, relatable and thought-provoking read. I’ve enjoyed all Les’s books for their frankness and vulnerability and I applaud him for his work with KFMH.

This relatively short book is a collection of interviews with people who have found Karate training beneficial to their mental health. None of this is unique to Karate for example BJJ is probably a decent treatment for PTSD and forms/kata have similar calming effect to meditation. It is nice to read about people improving their lives.
