Kill Switch: 3 (Devil’s Night)

“I’ve done far worse than what I went to prison for. She has no idea how bad this can get.” WINTER Sending him to prison was the worst thing I could’ve done. It didn’t matter that he did the crime or that I wished he was dead. Perhaps I thought I’d have time to disappear before he got out or he’d cool off in jail and be anything but the horror he was. But I was wrong. Three years came and went too fast, and now he’s anything but calm. Prison only gave him time to plan. And while I anticipated his vengeance, I didn’t expect this. He doesn’t want to make me hurt. He wants to make everything hurt. DAMON First thing’s first. Get rid of her daddy. He told them I forced her. He told them his little girl was a victim, but I was a kid, too, and she wanted it just as much as I did. Step two… Give her, her sister, and her mother nowhere to run and no fuel to escape. The Ashby women are alone now and desperate for a knight in shining armor. But that’s not what’s coming. No, it’s time I listened to my father and took control of my future. It’s time I showed them all—my family, her family, my friends—that I will never change and that I have no other ambition than to be the nightmare of their lives. Starting with her. She’ll be so scared, she won’t even be safe in her own head by the time I’m done with her. And the best part is I won’t have to break into her home to do it. As the new man of the house I have all the keys.*Kill Switch is the third installment in the Devil’s Night series. It is strongly recommended to read Corrupt (Devil’s Night #1) and Hideaway (Devil’s Night #2) prior to reading this book.

I thought Damon would be my fave. He wasn’t. But his book was good – the story was good. But once again – some stuff was completely unnecessary.

I have loved every book in this series so far, and this one is no different. I was pulled back into the life of the Horsemen right away.
Damon has been a favourite of mine since Corrupt. I knew there was more to him, and we get to see that in this book. He is still just as calculating, evil, and downright nasty, when he has to be (and sometimes when he doesn’t). However, in this book we get to find out more about the reasons why he is the way he is.
Winter hates Damon, with a passion. She thinks he is responsible for most of the bad things that have happened to her and her family. Damon maintains his hard exterior, while slowly chipping away at Winter. He tries to show her that everything is not always as it seems. This is when we start to see the real Damon.
At the end of every book in this series so far, I have been left desperate for the next book. This one is no different. However, these books are worth the wait. The story is well thought out. The suspense has you turning pages long into the night. The character development is perfect.
Although this story is focused on Winter and Damon, the rest of the gang all make a significant contribution. Along with all the suspense, there are a few twists and turns to add to it. At the end of every book in this series, I have been left desperate for the next one to be released. This one is no different. However, the books are always worth the wait. Each storyline is well thought out and the suspense always has me turning the pages well into the night.
I can’t wait to see what Penelope Douglas has in store for Will.

I wasn’t sure I’d like this book. I didn’t like Damon in the first 2 books in this series, but omg I loved this, this is my favourite of the 3 so far!! Damon is such a complex character, he’s experienced so much during his life and his story helps you to see why he acts certain ways. I love the plot twists and finding things out that link through to books 1 and 2. Love this so much and cannot wait to get started on the next book!

Another great book in series if you love dark spicy romance I recommend

I hated Damon in the previous two books, and even though we saw a lot of Damon in hideaway, it left me confused but we really got a lot of answers to the questions that that book produced. We learn a lot about Damons past and it explains a lot of his behaviour and why he is the way he is. I love how winter is like the water to Damon’s fire, if anything happened- good or bad- Damon needed winter by his side. Winter has a disability that I had no idea about going Into this book. Even with that disability she is one of the strongest heroins I’ve ever read about and I admire her so much. Although she sometimes believes that her disability will slow everyone down, Damon is right there to reassure her of how independent and strong she is. I love their development throughout this book and they are honestly so cute, even with the facade that Damon puts up, he can’t help but become a teddy bear when it’s just the two of them. I highly recommend this series. It has everything from spice to amazing plots. Yet another incredible book from Penelope Douglas.

All of the stars!
Kill switch is Book 3 in the devil’s night series. Corrupt and hideaway need to be read before hand or you will be lost.
What can I say about this book. It was outstanding. If you’ve read the other two books in the series you will know all about Damon Torrance and trust me I didn’t want to like him, I really didn’t. He’s done some messed up things but some how Penelope Douglas has made me fall deeply in love with Damon. He made me shout at my kindle, cry for him, want to hold him close and tell him everything will be ok. He made me roll my eyes, call him a names and smile so hard I didn’t know if I was coming or going.
Penelope’s writing was exquisite, her story telling pulling you into the moments and making you feel like you are a part of everything.
Winter, my sweet winter. She was everything. She fits in so well with the other girls and I love that she has a backbone, so strong!
I have been waiting and anticipating this book for a long time and I really didn’t believe that it could live up to the other two as I knew there was no way that Penelope Douglas could make me like Damon. How could she make me understand him and feel him. I was so wrong. She did and she did it so well I can feel him in my bones.
I thought i knew where this story was going to go…l I had no clue. I thought i could guess the twists…. I didn’t have any idea. I’m glad I read this book slowly and savoured it because I really enjoyed it. I took in all of the words and felt them, holding them close to me.
Michael used to be my favourite horsemen, Damon has taken over and massively surpassed him. This book will tear you limb from limb, get your pulse racing, bring tears to your eyes and consume you. I couldn’t have loved this book more if i had tried. Damon is the best kind of anti hero.
I couldn’t prepare myself for the emotions that this book put me through but I was worth every damn thing.
I can’t wait for Will’s book, I already know it’s going to be EPIC.
Well done Penelope Douglas, I bow down to you. Read the book, read the series and fall in love. You won’t regret a thing.

I was really looking forward to Damon’s story and Penelope did not disappoint!
I couldn’t put it down and was sad when the story ended!
Now onto Will….
