Now a major Netflix series!

Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey are best friends and founding members of THE BABYSITTERS CLUB. Whatever comes up – cranky toddlers, huge dogs, scary neighbors, prank calls – you can count on them to save the day.

Babysitting isn’t always easy though, and neither is dealing with strict parents, new families, fashion emergencies, and mysterious secrets. But no matter what, the BSC have what they need most: friendship.

Raina Telgemeier, using the signature style featured in her acclaimed graphic novels Smile and Sisters, perfectly captures all the drama and humor of the original novel!

I enjoyed this more graphic version of an older tale. It really brings it forwards in time making it more accessible to a new audience. The same problems, the same trouble with friendships but a very fun look into how divorces are processed differently and the perceptions of younger children. I am looking forward to seeing how this goes

Yeah well, these are based on the most popular novel in printing history so…
Of Course they’re great, what else did you expect ?!
The artwork is particularly good with heaps of great facial expressions.
The artist,Raina Telgemeier,an avid reader of the original series, certainly does a great job of presenting a graphic interpretation.
When I read the first of these three novels,I didn’t know they were based on a written novel.
I thought they stood well enough on their own and thoroughly enjoyed them for what they were.
    Sadly,there are only three,Boo Hoo !
For more,I had to read Raina’s other two best sellers – Smile and Sisters, which are both in colour, not like the BSC ones.
Colour Graphic novels is rare with most being black on white with maybe a few colour opening pages.
Black and white does a wonderful job of putting pictures in your mind, just like the printed word – only much better !
A faultless read IMHO and I’ve read and re read these books many times.I love them !

Arrived when stated in excellent condition. My 10yr old daughter read and finished it in the same day and had requested the second one in the series. My 7yr old is now reading it, and I will pass it on to my niece. I loved this series as a girl, and I’m glad they are now enjoying it in this new graphic novel version.

Playing on the famous Babysitter a Club tales, four Stoneybrook teens (Anne Marie, Kristy, Claudia and New York-born Stacey) make a Baby-Sitters Club. Great drawings, great morals and GREAT STORY!!! However, I do feel that there is no particular plot to the book, but this is covered up by illustrations and hilarious scenes, such as Anne Marie’s scene with Kristy’s mom’s fiancé’s kids!
