Great book, great bright, clear presentation with illustration and explanations our 6 year old (though particularly advanced for his age) has loved this book’s first few pages so far.

I like CGP books, but let’s be clear on what they are and what they’re not. This comment is more aimed at the home ed community, who will be perhaps finding their way without the benefit of a school teacher.
This is a very quick tour around the various grammar and punctuation requirements for KS2 English. It’s usefulness for teaching is very limited due to the low number of practice questions, and in that sense, it isn’t a “workbook” at all. A workbook to cover 4 years of study as the front suggests would be much thicker for a start.
Having said that, it’s not without value as a study aid. It does help introduce an area and the format is undeniably accessible by young children. There are also answers included in the back, should you wish to confirm your understanding of “determiners” or “fronted adverbials”… A good start for both parent and child on the learning journey or useful for supportive parents wanting to get a handle on what their child is doing at school.

It is a great revision book for KS2 pupil. It contains all the knowledge that pupils need to know. But If the question is more difficult, it would be better for some pupils. Over all it is good book for consolidating the knowledge of KS2. Recommend it.
