Avoid buying it . It has no good piece of knowledge that is required for KS2 level students

These books are really good for visual learners young and old. They are also very good value for money.

I actually doubted that this book existed, the other reviewer didn’t receive his and my order got cancelled. However, I tried a Marketplace seller and managed to get hold of one.
The book is from 2003, which worried me a bit given the speed of technology, however the syllabus hasn’t changed during that time. As it is all a bit high level this book has not suffered as a result.
The books section are:
Word Processing
Graphics (eg paint software)
Multimedia Presentations
E Mail and the Internet
Using Databases
Analysing Data
Using Spreadsheets
Simulations (eg LOGO!)
Monitoring Conditions
Controlling Devices
The thing I like about the CGP Study Books, and a warning for people buying them for more (although ICT is quite comprehensive), is that they give parents a look at what their children are being taught, and given the fact in 2010 the majority of people have fast PCs (at least compared to 2003) we can give our kids help and advice. For example, my 7 year old son is great at Powerpoint and can put some great stuff together but he has never touched a spreadsheet. I can now give him help on building simple spreadsheets, looking at the CGP book to see what needs to be covered.
I would actually recommend this as a reference book, it has all the detail your will need for KS2. Also I enjoyed reading it, in this case the informal manner works very well.
Overall, a nice book if you can find one. Recommended.

Not very useful. I had thought this would provide details of various topics and not just highlight various topics to be covered.

My Grandson loves this book – just what he wanted as is very interested in the subject.
Have bought many items from this range in the past and all very informative.
