I bought book 5 & 6 to help my 8 year old with his mental maths. The wording used really helped him with the timed maths tests at school.

These books are essential for any schoolchild. I introduced them to my daughter when she was in Year 5, and although we initially faced some challenges, the transformation has been remarkable. Every student could benefit from these books for mental maths.

Here you will find ”normal math” and life example which we use in everyday life. It is really understandable and also you can see strait away where your kid have problem in understanding math. It is really material for recommended.

I bought this book for my (almost 11 years old) son, who is starting his grammar school after the holidays. As I felt he needed to practise maths and to be challenged, I thought it would be the answer. And sure it was. The book is divided into two parts: the first part (Number, Word and Real life problems -level 4&5)would definitely suit Y6 pupils, who want to brush up on their maths and solve additional problems, but some questions would be very useful for Y5 pupils preparing for 11+ exam. The second part (Time yourself tests) allows students to check what s/he learnt. Answers included are a big help. All in all a very good value for money.

This book has definitely been written for the new curriculum, really made my year sixes think. Some things they clearly hadn’t looked at before.
