Let’s Make Some Great Art

£12.30

In this interactive colouring and activity book, Marion Deuchars takes the broad canvas of ART and fills it with drawings and activities that let you discover what art can be, how it can be made, what it can mean for you and what it has meant for people through the ages. This book is packed with stimulating ideas to spark your creative imagination. You can complete the Mona Lisa’s smile, or design your own Jackson Pollock-inspired work with a marble, a tray, some paint and paper. There are step-by-step instructions for how to draw a bird and how to give it an expression, as well a foolproof method for drawing a bicycle. Aimed at children aged eight and older, the emphasis is on fun and making the creation of art a big part of the way you express yourself.

I wish I knew more children to give this book as presents!!

As someone who can’t draw two straight lines, I found that this book was not only great for children, it also gave me a chance to try it out. I loved it.

A definite MUST for Christmas. A great book indeed.

Bought for my 8yr old granddaughters birthday. But I’d like to keep it myself! This is a fantastic, informative and inspirational workbook for anyone starting out, wishing to kickstart their creativity. I would rate this as age appropriate for 8yrs to 108yrs!

I’ve just recently bought a copy of this book – and I’m writing this review to recommend you seriously consider buying more than one copy! I guess this is a kids activity book but, being a fan of Marion Deuchars’ illustration, I purchased this as a keepsake. However, my 8 year old boy quickly started to work on it and now his big sister wants her own copy!

This is an excellent book. Great to get inspiration for starter activities at school when teaching art. Photocopy the pages so you have more for the children. It’s also a great book to help when your struggling for ideas. I imagine it’s a great book to have at home to use with the children on a rainy day. I highly recommend
