Liaigre: Twelve Projects
£61.80
Over the past twenty-five years, Christian Liaigre has built his reputation on the refined quality of his furniture and interiors. With a keen sensibility for space and light, design inspiration drawn from local cultures and traditions, an affinity for artisanal work, and meticulous attention given to the sourcing of materials, the designer combines the art of understatement with great elegance. According to Liaigre, interior architecture and design should not be a reflection of fashion and trends, but should instead embody timelessness, tranquil beauty, and subtle luxury. For Liaigre, comfort resides in delicacy and rareness. Featuring private and public spaces from Nantucket to Malibu, from Athens to Korea, and from the Caribbean to London, this book takes the reader inside his rarefied world to reveal his signature style. Highlights of his freshest creations encompass the full range of his talents in furniture and interior design. This handsome large-format volume is a visual feast of exquisitely reproduced images, offering inspiration for professional architects and interior designers, as well as home chic aficionados

With this book Christian Liaigre proves that he is still ‘above and beyond’ ! Very inspirational.

Beautiful book , lovely textured paper and wonderful photos . The only thing lacking is any real description , there is a short introduction to each chapter , but nothing in depth then pages of lovely photos about each project ; I think I would have liked some more description of the work rather than all the pictures . Overall a wonderful book though , and a must have for any Liaigre fan or interior design addict !

Let’s be quite clear about this: absolutely no way this book is worth anywhere near the ludicrous prices being asked by greedy marketplace bizniz people – you can buy the French language edition BRAND NEW here on AmazonUK for just £25! It’s a pictorial book first and foremost – so it’s not as if you’re losing out.
More importantly: whilst the interiors in this edition are not exactly ‘dated’, neither are they sparklingly new. Rizzoli’s recent 2020 book captures EVERYTHING AND MORE of the trademark style and craftsmanship that is so uniquely ‘Liaigre’ – minus a few yacht interiors which most of us I’d suggest can just about live without.
So remember: there’s no need to lose your shirt on this one. Buy it cheap (French or otherwise); or just drool over the even more tantalising Rizzoli edition.
