Added this to my collection for using in phonic intervention lessons. I needed several packs as there is only one of each GPC in each box.

Lovely quality flash cards which are key to the Little Wandle phonics program.
Little Wandle is the best reading scheme I have experienced with my children. Once mastering the flash cards my daughter has leapt ahead with her reading quicker and with so much confidence

These cards are used in my little ones school and the look of excitement on their face when we had a pair at home really helped develop their phonics and spelling.

For the most part these cards are lovely, with well chosen images and attractive illustrations to depict all single letter sounds and a few two letter sounds.
Unfortunately there are a couple of cards with unidentifiable images. One of the ‘recommended activities’ is getting your child to identify the image before identifying the sound; this was a non-starter in these cases.
It’s also a slight shame the only lower case letters are illustrating. It’s generally advised to introduce both capitals and lower case letters at the same time to avoid confusion down the line (I’m an ex teacher).
The cards are helpful though for starting learning of phonics. There are even some fun recommended activities that come with the cards for those who are less confident with phonics.

I bought these cards to help my son at home after using the cards myself at work as a TA. I didn’t expect the cards to be the same quality as the school set with them being a lot cheaper but I am a little disappointed in the quality of printing on some of these cards. It looks like the ink has run ? Hence the 1 star knocked off. I will be keeping the set as I don’t want to wait another week for a replacement to arrive. ????

My girls absolutely love these, it really helps that’s little Wandle is used in school too, as not only do we do these together but the twins also role play school with these and don’t realise there doing more learning. These cards have helped bring on their vocabulary & language in leaps and bounds.

They aren’t that great for phonics beginner. Also quality of printing could have been better.
