Maid for Advertising: A Billionaire Boss, Enemies to Lovers Romance

£2.30

Working as a maid on a luxury yacht certainly isn’t Urvi’s idea of a dream job, but she needs money, fast. As a student at the Royal academy, who’s been cut off by her family for choosing music instead of medicine, she needs every penny of the exorbitant fee the powerful advertising executive, Jack Bailey, is willing to pay. So what if she thought Jack was asking her out but offered her a job instead? So what if she thought they had a connection during all those late night chats they had at the bar where she works? Jack and his mega yacht are clearly more out of her league than she realized.
A bit of banter with a barmaid obviously meant nothing to him if the cold shoulder he’s now giving her is anything to go by. Urvi can’t afford pride if she wants to survive, and, with the way her diabetes control has been lately, survival is fast becoming her number one priority.
Maid for Advertising is a friends to enemies to lovers contemporary romance novella. It is approximately half the length of a full-length novel.

Charming, sweet romance between Urvi, bartender/student turned waitress on a luxury yacht in St Tropez, and Jack, customer and owner of said yacht.

Urvi was training to be a doctor but her real passion is music. When she changed her course her traditional family refused to speak to her. Now she’s struggling with a medical condition and trying to fund her studying and life with a part-time job at a London bar. Jack is one of her favourite customers, respectful, polite and good for a chat, so when he invites her to spend the weekend in St Tropez on a yacht Urvi is thrilled, until she finds out it is as staff not as a guest!

Worth the price just to see the adorable Kira and hear cockwomble one more time!

I love Susie Tate’s book and this was great – just too short!

This is a romance story – it is what it says on the tin – but Susie’s characters are .. the opposite of superficial. They are in depth, real well rounded characters. Not perfect, not just fabulous, flawed. And her writing really gets you in the feels.

A shorter quick story to read because it hooks you from the start. A pleasant Rom Com that again brings difficult subjects into the forefront ????

I really enjoyed this novella. Jack was overbearing and arrogant, but he did redeem himself. The plot involved a number of misunderstandings before the path to true love was found. It was a good book and kept me engaged. If you’ve read all of Susie Tate’s books you will see the character of Kira appear in this book.

I have read all the books by the writer and enjoyed them all. I really enjoy all the stories and meeting the characters from earlier books. Every book from this writer is brilliant and would recommend buying and reading them all.

The novella was lovely to read and the characters are fun and have human faults. The miscommunications are understandable and all resolved.

The story is enjoyable and light, happy, and a bit educational on diabetes.

It was a pity it was not full length and would have liked to read more about the characters. I prefer the books written in the third-party by this author more as she writes the most laugh-out load descriptions. Her ability to describe a scene or person in a third party style is unmatched. It is truly dangerous to eat at the same time- as reading due to multiple laughs out loud episodes. The writing in the first person does not give the same ability to detail Kira’s off the wall personality compared to earlier novels.

There are a few typos – heroine instead of heroin and John Lewis snook in. Libre lasts for 14 days.

Main characters were pretty good and so were the secondary ones.
HEA just like you would expect from any romance story.
The one little villain wasn’t really 3D but totally forgivable.
But the best thing about this short story? No rushing at the end because the author just remembered that it was supposed to be a short so after dragging things in the beginning the end feels rushed. No sire!
Ahhh also, insta-love! I know it can turn some people off. I don’t mind either way if the book is well written (which in this case it was – IMHO obviously).
Hope you enjoy this sweet little read.

I adore Susie Tates books, this was a great short read I really enjoyed I liked our fmc although she was a bit stubborn at times which i also understand our main mc is a bit of a wally at times but he has his heart in the right place for the most part and fixes his mistakes. Also love that this books raises a bit of awareness about diabetes.
