Your journey starts today!
With the rapid growth of the Chinese economy and their business influence spreading across the world in every possible way, both the Chinese culture and language have been attracting unprecedented numbers of learners from every corner of the world over the last 20-30 years.
In fact, in most developed countries, Mandarin has been offered as a popular second language along with English, Spanish, German, French and Italian. Some learners even take one step further – landing their ideal job in China and living their dream lives in that beautiful, historic nation.
However, the writing of Chinese characters remains as a challenge for most learners, particularly beginners. Thankfully, with the help of the Pinyin system, a learner can instantly pronounce any Chinese character. This is where our Mandarin Chinese Characters Made Easy workbook comes in: an easy step-by-step workbook demonstrating how to write Chinese characters, stroke by stroke.
How the Mandarin Chinese Characters Made Easy works:

Lingo Mastery have done it again with an excellent book on Mandarin Chinese characters.
The layout/format for each character is very good with English meanings, stroke-order diagrams etc.
Thoroughly recommend.

This is a very good book for learning basic level Chinese characters, and quite a few two character words. As another reviewer has said, it does not help much with Chinese grammar & sentence building, but that was not the aim of the book in the first case so should not detract. There is plenty of space to practice writing the characters which are introduced in a logical order. I would have given 5 stars, but my copy has a strange printing error: the headings of the exercise sets have been replaced by gobbledegook (e.g. the second line of the heading for Exercise set 2 reads
‘<]; 0 '; = ]9 (phi)' before switching back into readable Chinese. The headings for the answer section are also of this form. I'm sure they will fix this in later editions.

I really appreciate this book. It even gives you the history of the evolution of the characters, from simple pictographs to characters.
It’s organised in small topics. There are a lot of exercises, in particular to practise writing the characters. The exercises enable you to write a full sentence in stages.
The book also has one index from English to Chinese and another one for the Pinyin.
All the audio files are online and you are given the link in the book.
All the exercises have their answers at the end of the book.
Overall a good acquisition.
