very useful and informative, just what i wanted. only problem was, each chapter has a picture at the beginning with chinese and english labels. in my book, the first chapter, the picture of the umbrella only has english labels, and no mandarin labels, even though it has them on the preview of the book. it’s irritating because the umbrella is probably the most useful picture (it has the colours labelled, which aren’t anywhere else in the book) i’ll have to use another resource to learn colours i suppose.

My Son started Mandarin in September and found it quite daunting. This books makes it easy to identify everyday items.

The pictured makes the language more friendly to understand. I know there are many different apps that could be used but a go-to book in his bag this is perfect.

10/10! Next day delivery as expected with prime.

My teenage daughter love’s anything, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese or Thai. The food, recipe’s, culture, art and languages. I purchased this visual dictionary as a gift for her. She has found it useful.

Great little book, especially as audio files to accompany it are available online. Only reservation would be the small size of the characters and, even more problematic, the size of the tone markings. However, these are small problems and expected with a book of this relatively small size.

This review is for the kindle version.

On the Kindle the formatting is so terrible that I am surprised the publisher has allowed it to go out like this. Many of the pages do not have any illustrations and those that do you may have just two large images per page with the associated Mandarin.
