Mark Manson Collection 2 Books Set (The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, Everything Is F*cked)
The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck:
In this generation-defining self-help guide, a superstar blogger cuts through the crap to show us how to stop trying to be “positive” all the time so that we can truly become better, happier people. For decades, we’ve been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. “F**k positivity,” Mark Manson says. “Let’s be honest, shit is f**ked and we have to live with it.” In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn’t sugar coat or equivocate. He tells it like it is a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today.
EVERY THING IS F*CKED:
We live in an interesting time. Materially, everything is the best it’s ever been we are freer, healthier and wealthier than any people in human history. Yet, somehow everything seems to be irreparably and horribly f*cked the planet is warming, governments are failing, economies are collapsing, and everyone is perpetually offended on Twitter. At this moment in history, when we have access to technology, education and communication our ancestors couldn’t even dream of, so many of us come back to an overriding feeling of hopelessness.

Too much swearing to get into it fully .
Very repetitive and boring.
Not what it’s all hyped up to be sadly .

The first part (subtle art) was insightful, but quite straightforward in places and having seen the Netflix documentary first, the book didn’t add as much extra as I’d hoped. The second part (everything is f****d), however, is the real masterpiece here. Written in a colloquial style appealing to men in particular I have recommended this book to all of my friends who are a bit lost and wonder what being an adult actually means and what you need to do (about your emotional framework) to grow up. I’m still working on it, but boy has this book rocked my boat. Truly life changing. Maybe not on its own, but “everything is f****d) is the gateway drug to permanent and deep self growth, and a guiding light of easily digestible advice when other similar books can be a bit too academic. Highly recommended!
