Marnie and the Seaglass is simply stunning. Katy manages to capture the emotions of young Marnie in such a sensitive, delicate way that this book will strike a chord with many adults as well as the children they are reading it to. The illustrations complement the words perfectly and look good enough to have framed in your own home!
Katy has a real talent for knowing what kids (and adults!!) need from a picture book and she has triumphed again. Highly recommend, especially for those of you out there with young girls who feel slightly on the outside of things.

This second book by Katy Towse is even better than the first (The Tide Inside). So sensitively and brilliantly written, it captures the spirit of childhood and all the wonder and challenges that brings with it. The illustrations transport you to Marnie’s world and the words melt your heart. It’s for all those (adults and children) who may not feel like they fit in, but find art, beauty and creativity can help you find your place in the world andexpress who you are. Just loved it.

This is a lovely story written so beautifully. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and I know my sea glass loving daughter is going to love it. I cried on the last page which happens to all my favourite children’s books, well done Katie!

I bought this for my 6 year old who LOVED it! The illustrations are absolutely amazing, and the story is just gorgeous. I think all adults can relate to feeling like you are holding part of yourself back, and the fear of others judging you- so this book is for everyone! Don’t hesitate to buy it- you won’t regret it!
