Mason: Dark College Bully Romance (Bastards of Bainbridge Hall Book 1)

£4.70

Nothing they’ll do can hurt me. I’m already broken.

When my stepfather dumps me off at Bainbridge Hall, I can tell I’m in trouble. At the mercy of the brotherhood, I’m forced by my mother’s husband to follow their every command.

I should run. Far, far away.

From the moment I arrive, these bastards test me. Every time they push, another piece of my past trauma is exposed. But I’m stronger than they think I am, and I’ve learned the hard way the only person I can count on is me.

One brooding artist. One football god. And one hate-fueled stepbrother.

Mason.
Bear.
Duke.

The plan is simple. Keep my head down and focus on getting the college degree I so desperately want. But this house is not what it seems, and every door I open reveals a memory I had buried deep, things I had willed myself to forget.

Bainbridge Hall. Where the bastards are beautiful, and my nightmares become reality.

Mason is a 96,000+ word novel, the first book in the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. MFMM for now … This should be read AFTER the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy, as it is connected and continues the story.
WARNING: This trilogy contains dark elements, graphic content, and situations that some readers may be particularly sensitive to. If you have triggers or are remotely unsure, please contact me. Also, be warned that I don’t always know how a series will end or all the underlying secrets until they reveal themselves in the writing process.

Love this book and all the darkness, mystery and heartache. There def something going on that makes you feel uneasy as you read, knowing it’ll break you a little when you find out what it is.

Off to read Bear right now because I can’t wait!

Leila’ a KU books are so good, loved Kingston, Cannon and Hudson, the boys of Hawthorn Hall, here we visit Bainbridge Hall and catch up with Mason, Bear and Duke. This first book is amazing, we get to meet the boys who all live in the hall and their unusual dynamic. All three of the guys have terrible fathers who cast a long shadow as well as other past trauma.
Lennon is thrown into the middle of this total melee without any warning, being verbally abused by Duke and Mason.
She also has past trauma we don’t know anything about yet, I also want to know what Duke’s father is up to, sure he has nefarious plans for Lennon.
She has enough on her plate especially with the “accidents” that keep happening to her.
Great start to a new series, well written and totally immersive reading, loved it.

After reading the ‘Brothers of Hawthorne Hall’ series by Leila, you know I had to read Mason’s book.

We met the guys briefly in the first series and now they have their own… which I am not disappointed by ????

Leila has an amazing ability to turn not nice men into men you just melt over ????

Absolutely loved this book… that cliff hanger though Miss James ????

Thoroughly recommend this series, Leila James will always be one of my fav authors!

So we are back again at Hawthorne University but this time its the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall that are front and centre. If you have read the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series then you would have met the Bastards already and I for one have been itching to meet them again and get their stories. First up in the series is Mason and OMG I can already tell that I’m gonna love these BOBH more than the BOHH! Yep I said it! The tension, chemistry and spice is so good and there is drama, emotional angst and twists. Now as we know Lelia has a habit of giving us cliffys and she does not disappoint with this one, I need answers and Bears book now!

When I read Kingston, the first instalment in the BOHH… I adored Archer. He was my favourite in that part of the trilogy.

Having now read Mason, I absolutely adore Bear – I know this book is primarily about Mason and his back story, but as with the other Kingston University series you get snippets of each character throughout with a focus on the backstory of 1 MMC alongside bits of the FMC.

If you haven’t read the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall, make sure you do before starting Mason. Although the timeline for BOBH runs alongside that of BOHH, you learn a lot of spoilers for BOHH even from this first book.

If you have read BOHH, you’ll love this new addition to the Kingston University reality – written in the same style with a healthy dose of spice and some truly swoon-worthy men.

This is the first book of a Trilogy and WOW. It is dark and twisted. Gripped me from the first page. I would recommend that people read the boys from Hawthorn Hall Trilogy first though as there are some crossovers and it will make certain scenes in this book more understandable. The cliffhanger at the end of this book is one that you do not see coming.
Can’t wait for the next installment

Once again Leila has completely smashed it out of the park with this book.

After I read Kingston I went back and read every book she had written and I was hooked through every one.

Mason was just incredible, I loved how sassy and strong Lennon was and the way the guys were enthralled with her from the beginning despite not wanting to be.

I loved how she could see right through Mason and understood his dark side, I cannot wait til book two and whether we find out what Lennon’s past is.

Bear was amazing and I loved how he was there for her throughout this book and that she had him when things got tough with the others.

Duke ahhh the forbidden guy, it is so funny to se whose struggles with who she is and how much he wants her.

I am also intrigued to see what happens with those three and also with the OG men and what they want with Lennon.

Cannot wait for book 2 and answers to my questions!!!
