This has been a great book with gradual introduction of the notes and some helpful hints as well. It also has a section on music theory.

I’ve been keen for my children to learn musical instruments and to learn to read music. It’s a great skill that you can use all through your life.
It’s been quite difficult to get my eldest away from technology but these learn piano books have been successful once I have removed her fireHd pad.
I listen to her working through the lessons and clearly it’s helping.
These books are a great way to work out if your child has any talent or inclination to persue music before paying an expensive music teacher.

Perfect step in enjoying progress on the keyboard
by J. Allenby
My 7 year-old just started learning the piano. Practice is the problem, but as she gets more into it and progresses through short pieces that she recognizes, it’s becoming less of a tussle and she’s actually starting to enjoy playing and feeling the rewards of doing it well. Me and My Piano Part 1 and Part 2 have been a major part of the journey. She has a half-an-hour a week lesson, one-to-one with a tutor at school and because there were so many fights over practicing, I’ve now got the boy next door giving her an hour a week for pocket money. And we’re getting there. She happily gives me a ” concert” of the pieces she’s learned every week and I can see amazing progress as the book brings her along slowly and surely. Stretching her, but never to the point of frustration! She was so close to giving up at one point, so I’m grateful for both the book – and the boy next door!
