Each page of this book features space for you to label each page with which disease process or body system disorder you are learning and a box for each of the following specifies about each:

• Pathophysiology – define your disease and how it affects the body
• Risk factors – Genetics, comorbidities, life style
• Signs and symptoms – objective and subjective abnormalities that indicate illness
• Diagnostic test – pertinent labs, radiologic test and procedures
• Treatments and medications – surgery, procedures, specific medications
• Nursing interventions – Define the nursing role in care of patient
• Patient educations – Things patients need to know to prevent/treat this disease
• Notes – Whatever else you need to remember

This book’s only intention is to help you organize your notes regarding disease processes and what your role as nurse will be in respect to those processes you are given to study. Take your notes during class or after to help you organize your study sessions. Will you need 150 of these pages? Maybe not. But you have them just in case. Make these pages your own. Use more than one page per disease/illness. Tear them out and take them to work or family gatherings so you can study in the corner while no one is looking. Read these notes out loud to your dog. Take them to your clinical experience for reference. Make your study experience easier and more flexible with this note taking book.
