An extraordinary insight into the evolution of medical science over the years… I believe it will also become a useful reference work for any young person interested in a career in the medical profession.

Fantastic artwork and so many interesting facts make this an essential purchase, imo. My 8 year niece wants to be a Doctor, so I got this for her – I think it’s the only non-school book she’s ever had that she’s read from cover to cover!

Got this for a young relative, one who has an inquisitive mind. She could not put it down! I’m sure she has read it cover to cover, at least six times, and keeps going back to it. So informative and the very clever use of vivid illustration gives this book a really special quality.
If you’re looking for a great book as a youngsters gift, then look no further. You’ve found it

Absolutely amazing book, bought one for my self and then returned to buy another as a gift. The artwork is impeccable from cover to cover. Really great read too. Would certainly recommend to anyone of any age.

Sadly the lovely cover doesn’t make up for the way the rest of the book is set out. The interior pages are printed on dark paper – orange and green – and the font size is small and it’s written in small chunks. I’m general it’s not well set out. I bought the book for a nine year old who is a very capable reader and who loves history. This book is not inviting and I know she would have not have enjoyed either looking at it or reading it. I’m really unsure who this book is aimed at. It’s half picture book for children but with small, rather cramped, text. Sadly it is going back.
