This book is great. It’s set out in clear sections for employee and manager, has a realistic take on things and good coping strategies.
It’s easy to read, evidence based, there’s some interesting case studies, it doesn’t use jargon and has really practical advice and tools to use. I’ve bought 3 more copies to give to people I work with. I’m a Deputy Sister in a hospital but I think this book is relevant across all industries, especially at the current time.

Excellent read. It’s informative, practical and takes the reader to the real experiences of people facing these challenges. Well written and accessible, I particularly like the humanity and humbleness. Especially during these isolating times that force us apart, the call to come together is welcome and a reminder of how healing it it is to reach out and ask for help.

This is an excellent book exploring mental health and wellbeing at work. It is a must have for employees, managers, HR and occupational health. Not only do Gill and Donna give great insight to common mental health conditions, but also discuss policy and responsibilities of both the employer and employee. It is a timely book endorsed by Dame Carol Black and Dr Steven Boorman
