I bought this book because it was a designated textbook for a postgrad course I’m doing. Bought it used, it came quickly and it was very good quality, very minimal flaws, which I didn’t care about. The pages were in perfect condition, like it wasn’t opened or read before. I am very happy with the purchase. I am using it for my course & I’m glad I bought it.

A fantastic support tool for people who wish to work within Mental Health Services. The authors guide you through the learning process and encourage you to reflect and consider all the relevant structures, policies and procedures which impact on a client receiving services from you. It challenges us to consider why we work as Mental Health Nurses but looking at who should be in control of the clients care plan and how we can so easily strip the client of any autonomy. This book really does help you develop skills to be an effective support tool and gives clear guidelines on how to help clients with different Mental Health challenges. I recommend this book for all student nurses and for qualified staff wishing to refresh their knowledge.
