great kids book

My granddaughter lives abroad so I don’t see her very often, but when I do we recite nonsense poems and sing silly songs in the car on journeys. I bought this book for her to read in the plane on the way home and she had her nose in it all the way to Cyprus!

Michael Rosen is an absolute genius – that goes without saying but this book is a must buy. I bought it for my 8 year old who has recently started enjoying poems at school. Well, he absolutely loves this book of poems and has read and re-read the book several times over already. A lovely gift – highly recommend.

Poems weren’t by the author, a lot of them were silly or in old style language my children wouldn’t understand. Pages are thin and all black and white, doesn’t feel visually appealing

If you want silly,
Well here it is.
If you want serious,
You better look elsewhere.
Just a joy to read.

We love this author and the poems are silly and sweet, but this is a very thin book and the publishers have well overpriced it.

Bought for grandson 7th birthday – he was reading the poems by himself and giggling. Silly poems for all ages.

Not a bad little book – I was a bit disappointed with the cost vs the size. The kids 8 & 11 have enjoyed reading the silly poems. Would make a lovely stocking stuffer
