Millennial Black manages to balance being a research packed informative exploration of Black women’s experiences in the workplace whilst remaining engaging and accessible for the reader. This book is highly relevant for anyone who runs a business or employees people as part of their work as it provides clear guidance on how to improve the working environment for everyone. I really appreciated the regular references and data provided to reinforce the points being made, and the clear actionable steps at the end of each section. Highly recommended!

This is a beautifully written, resonant book. Not just for black women, but for allies too. What we can do to fight and racism is clearly laid out: as is why it is so important. Read it, and make the world fairer.

An incredibly insightful read. I’ve been learning something new (researched facts and concepts) on every page I’ve read. A must read for anyone who wants to understand and do more as an ally. Thank you!

This was a brilliant read, someone articulating an experience similar to my own, made me feel much less alone. The inclusion of stats, and quotes from other writers helped to explain the ‘why’ and the scale of the issues faced, alongside clear practical pointers from the author about what needs to change.
I recommended the book to my boss, who is supportive and keen to understand more about the experience of black women in the workplace, and how she can use her position of influence for better.
My thanks to the author, and a massive well done on such an important book.

This is such an insightful read and the interviews with all the women are beautiful and so well constructed! This is important to all races and as a white woman, it has opened my eyes and made me more thoughtful about changes we can make.
This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Brilliantly insightful – I learned a lot. It would be helpful for everyone to read this book regardless of their race. Employers and managers especially, please read this book! It is absolutely huge, and so well written that I read it much more quickly than I was expecting. It’s also beautifully laid out; nice design and pleasant to read. One of the best books I’ve bought – highly recommend!

This is a fantastically well written and researched book. I would strongly encourage all those who operate within corporate settings to read this to understand the impact of the workplace on marginalised communities. Thank you for writing a book that so sorely needed to be written
