My son and his wife both served in Afghan etc many years ago it’s something we never talk about and I always worry that it’s affected them. If I ask my son says I’m fine but what man doesn’t My son is a big bear fan and as followed him for years and as all his stuff books etc. I read all the reviews before buying this book and when I give it to him he says he likes it and daughter inlaw said wanted to read it after him. So I guess I got a win win. I think this book would be recommended to anyone

A swiss army knife of mental health tools. Personal experiences, historical inspirations, religious stories, practical tips and the acknowledgement that we all face the same hardships.
Loneliness, disappointment, grief, failure, bullies, anxiety and fear will plague all our lives but it is how we react that will define us.
From an incredibly resilient author, we are shown strategies and stories that have strengthened and encouraged minds around the world.
Nature, friendships, enthusiasm, good decisions and a refusal to be less than we can be are wonderfully demonstrated in accessible daily tips that can also be read in sections or in a longer focused sitting.
This book won’t change your life overnight but will point you in the right direction and illuminate a wise path ahead.

This book is an incredibly useful resource at a time when it’s really needed.
Patient, practical, heartfelt, intelligent, and wide-ranging teaching to help anyone facing the challenges of modern living to build their mental resilience. A goldmine of useful wisdom and insight, with engaging illustrations from Bear’s life and experience, as well as far, far more.
Highly recommended – especially for those who wouldn’t normally pick up a book on mental health.

Another Fabulous book in the Bear Grylls series

Having an unbounded appreciation of just about everything Bear says and does, I am always thrilled at exploring his latest.
Soul Fuel was a wonderful uncomplicated series of narrative on how to be in touch with my Maker, and because of Bear’s inclusive attitude to the world no-one is left out in that.
And to me, Soul Fuel was an invaluable foundation for getting hold of our minds and making it do what is best and wise, for maturity and growth.
Now, in Mind Fuel, we have a different angle on how to get our mind into order, and not let our mental [or emotional] state rule us.
I love to start my day with the daily reading on Bible Gateway, [I listen to the David Suchet narration], this means that every year I have read or listened to the whole bible.
And now I have a special reading after that little exercise, where I read on my cloud reader, the daily portion for FUELLING MY MIND.
We can choose the fuel with which we fill our minds, and Bear’s new book is giving me great fuel.
