Bought for student studying Cell Biology at Uni without having done Biology A level. Great intro to the subject, covering all the basics clearly, succinctly and engagingly.
Great book, in terms of both content and paper/print quality. Great value

I’m still reading this book, however it isn’t an easy read.
The “For Dummies” is misleading.
There is a lot of terminology and so far little in the way of overall simple interpretation.

Book itself looks great and a useful guide for alongside a science degree.
However the condition it arrived in looks second hand even though it’s not. The covers are bent and creased and the colour is flaking off particularly in scratched places.
Possibly bought and returned previously but can’t be certain.

It could do with colour diagrams but is very cheap as usual for these books. The detail is excellent. It’s not a simple subject but the book is great but still it is complex so it’s worth re reading pages. I recommend but also needed to up my chemistry and biology a bit before reading although it does cover that but still it’s a complex topic this book does exceptionally well to explain. It’s a science book yet left me in awe of what life is all about and how scientists discovered all of this. An amazing book on an amazing subject

The text is not printed correctly making me suspect its a fraud copy – how has someone not looked at it!
Waste of money barely readable
