Love this book, nice easy step by step guide of starting off children phonics skills. this uses the CVC technique as well as letter recognition. Great addition for home learning alongside school/nursery learning. Nice little reward sticker system included too.

Fab book for keeping kids practising for a short amount each day without getting bored. The sticker reward still holds a little bit of sway at this age too, especially if you say that they’re getting a special treat for a full week of stickers or whatever.
We really like the books from this series, we have a few of them and they are all super clear and easy for the kids to use at home. The age guidelines seem to be pretty appropriate but you could always buy the age range up if you’re wanting to really challenge or stretch your kids.
These 10 minutes a day book have been especially useful to keep up skills over holidays and to get our 4 year old ready for starting school and as a supplement to what he’s been doing in reception for the first few weeks. Worth doing whilst he’s still excited about phonics!
Our daughter also used the study and question books in school in her last primary school, which makes these extra books even more ideal to use at home to compliment what they’re learning at school.

Great start to phonics and doesn’t feel like learning at all. Tip
: use a pencil so they can be reused (duh!) and recreate these on your own paper to maximise use.

Simply excellent. This is a full colour activity book, well targeted to 3-5 year olds. It’s part of a series, and this book looks at phonics (reading). The book guides a child (with parental support) through a series of bitesize exercises that get progressively harder. It even includes stickers that can be used as a motivational reward on completion of each page.
Exercises start off training your child to recognize letters (following the “SATPIN” method that many schools will also use) through a series of fun games and activities, moving to reading full words and sentences by the end of the book. And there’s plenty of opportunities for repetition and practice.
My 4yr old daughter loves the “games” and looks forward to her 10minutes (I alternate with the other books in the series). And I love the fact she’s happy learning.
This is well written, fun, and targeted at the perfect age-group to benefit.

This workbook provides a fun and interactive approach to phonics learning for young children. The activities and cards in the book are perfect for kids aged and the reward stickers encourage their participation. This book has truly helped my child, and I highly recommend it to other parents.
